I went to see the stunning Stained Glass, go it is a must it will take your breath away. I also found a few moemts to reflect and light candles for those that have passed on, this church is more than a church, it is a Historical Place to worship, or just to visit for the sheer beauty.

This cathedral was built through a donation to the Diocese. The first funeral was his to be held in the cathedral. You will learn who and the story when you visit this exceptional cathedral.

Beautiful Cathedral in the middle of downtown Helena. A must see on your visit to the capitol city of Montana. Don't miss out on the tour train ride as you'll get a good ear full of history on Helena and the Cathedral!

I'd heard that the church in St. Helena was something to see, but that's an understatement! It's huge and the windows are so beautiful with the stain glass. The huge marble columns are so nice, I can't say enough. Even the outside is incredible. No matter your religion you won't be disappointed. We were happy to see that it is... More

Visiting St. Helena Cathedral should be on your list if you are in Helena just to see an example of its beautiful architecture if not for its religious significance. It recently underwent an incredible face-lift and added an elevator to help those with disabilities. It is one of the 7 wonders of Montana.

time period landmark. The inside is amazing and Iam not church afficianado. Worth a stop by to understand the beginings of Helena as a seat of government and population in Montana

Beautiful church! Loved the exceptionally balanced proportions, the stunning glass, and soaring space. On the flip, we were surprised that no one was working (or volunteering) there, and that there wasn't any hard-copy literature about the history of the building. We wanted to light a candle, but were disappointed that the only functioning ones were already lit , and although... More

This is a great place to quietly visit. There are rules posted in the lobby to help you know what is expected of you. I found it a very peaceful place.

When we're on vacation and I see a church with either stained glass windows or steeples I want to visit it. This cathedral has both. There are 2 steeples and several statues adorning the outside. The inside has many gorgeous stained glass windows. We were very pleased that we could come inside and respectfully have a look around. This was... More
