Beautiful place to spend a few or several hours

Wonderful piece of history and even better now that great people are donating furniture whicheets the time period. Great place for weddings, anniversaries, any special event!

I liked learning about the history of the area and the Daly family. I didn't like the repetition of just seeing bedroom and bedroom.

We love to go there in the Fall for when the tree leaves turn colors!! This property is the venue for historic mansion tours, outdoor weddings, graduation pictures, murder mysteries, Christmas bazaars, and the Bitterroot Celtic games (which is a nationally scored event)! The mansion is well-maintained, the grounds are beautifully groomed, the docents are welcoming and well-versed in their... More

This is a 3 story mansion inhabited by Mrs. Hamilton as her summer house. The guide was very well informed and we were able to examine all 3 floors-beautiful-as well as the grounds.

There are various events planned at the Daly mansion, and those are always festive, but on its own merit, the copper king's mansion and grounds are well worth a tour. The mansion and beautiful wooded grounds are well maintained, and offer a wealth of information about Montana's past, and the life and times of Marcus Daly and family. Google him... More

Interesting history most rooms are furnished with the actual furniture, pieces are being brought back following an estate sale in the 1980's. The wallpaper of the early 1900's is incredible as is the wood work and marble fireplaces. Amazing how the upper class lived. Thrilling to walk down the tree lined "driveway" to the house knowing that horse and carriages... More

We were fortunate to visit the Daly Mansion this year after seeing it almost 18 years ago. The work that the volunteers have done is incredible. They have done quite a bit of restoration and the home is a great example of a turn of the century summer mansion. The tour starts with a very informative video showing the history... More

I liked it because it was historical and gave some perspective about how Hamilton came about and how it was all planned out.

Definitely worth a stop & tour. The history and story behind Marcus Daly & his family is very interesting. The antiques and restored rooms make you fell like you were transported back in time. Plenty of parking and has a beautiful park like setting for large events.
