I walk on the trail often. I'm usually on the North side of the river but have walked, and ridden a bike on the south side. For most of the year all is good, both sides of the river area is clean and safe. However, during the winter months, and in early spring, the south side can be a little... More

Excellent for walking, running, of biking, which I did each day I was in Great Falls. Great at night to see reflections from buildings on other side of river.

The River's edge trail is accessible from the Lewis and Clark interpretive center. From the right side of the entrance you have steps leading down to the trail. You have the option of following the paved road, or walk the small trail. The walk to the the Black Eagle Dam is quite even and gives a nice view of Missouri... More

We had a wonderful time over three days bicycling from La Quinta Inn, where we stayed, on the north and south side of the Missouri River. The trail avoids conflicts with cars through the use of tunnels and underpasses at most road crossings, so there are miles and miles of cycling without the need to stop at all on both... More

I got on and off of this trail throughout different parts of town. It has great views of some of the falls. I doesn't go to all of them though. There were quite a few people using it walk, run, bike and take dogs for a stroll.

We decided to go to the River's Edge Trail around 5 in the afternoon, it is a gathering place for the locals, biking, skate board park, picknicking, and just meandering taking in the sites.

This is a beautiful place to go for a bicycle ride, jog or walk! This path is mostly flat and paved and it is right along the Missouri River. My friend and I did an organized 10k race here and we absolutely loved this trail! The only drawback I can mention would be the mosquitoes...they were horrendous! Wear bug spray!!... More

Such a peaceful walk along the river's edge . Watching the birds enjoy the waters and listening to the water.

Excellent walking trail and is very well maintained, however the bugs in the evening are quite bad and I would avoid during the wet parts of the year.
