Great Trail, Bad Bugs

Excellent walking trail and is very well maintained, however the bugs in the evening are quite bad and I would avoid during the wet parts of the year.

Such a pretty spot to take in the beauty of the river in town. It is the perfect jogging spot and worth a stroll. It gives great views of the waterfront.

You can walk, bike, or just feed the ducks and geese and watch the river go by. Peaceful, serene, and safe.

The Trail developers took grubby waste property along the river and made it a fabulous system of trails. The best thing about it is that they kept the Missouri riverfront as public property - I think they were heroes! The landscape goes from shaded riverfront to Missouri River Breaks.

Jogged a few miles here while passing through town. Paved trail, scenic, restrooms, and water fountains--what more do you need? Get off the streets and let yourself go.

We accessed the Trail right outside our hotel. We walked along it and then across the foot/bike bridge and continued all the way to the Great Falls Visitor Center (which is not on the trail itself). The trail's name is a little misleading at times because it isn't always along the river's edge but it's pretty close. It's a great... More

It is a nice / well-planned trail. I just couldn't get over the constant smell / odor that surrounds the city. Cool place but I probably wont go back :(

If you are in great falls, mt and want a good walk, I recommend the river's edge trail. Parts of it are not on the edge but most of it is.

We wanted to walk along the river, and noticed this trail on the map. It turned out to involved walking about a mile, just to get to the beginning. Then it was a pleasant ramble along the river with a few good birds to be found in the river and trees.

I just want to let visitors know that there are in fact 17 convenient parking areas available along the urban section of the trail. These are shown on the River's Edge Trail map, which is available at the Visitor Center, Park Department, and many hotels and businesses. The map can also be seen and downloaded on the River's Edge Trail... More

There is nothing better that a brisk morning walk along the rivers' edge. Everything is clearly marked and you get to see some of the most eye-pleasing sights and sounds. Loved the bridge details, as well.
