We recently had a family reunion in Great Falls, and chose to use this company for a day of floating on the Missouri. The float was great fun for our group (ranging in age from 13-56). Montana River Outfitters were incredibly flexible to work with. They dropped our rafts off before we arrived at the launch site and picked them... More

Starting July 12, 2015, eight of us took a 107 mile, 6 day, fully-guided White Cliffs/Missouri Breaks canoeing trip organized by Montana River Outfitters (MRO). The trip began at Coal Banks Landing and ended at James Kipp Recreation Area on the upper Missouri River in Montana. The guide team accompanying us on the trip was led by Greg Clement and... More

I stayed at Montana River Outfitters's cabins in Wolf Creek, MT about 11 times in 20 years. And must sadly admit that this year, for the first time, I've been disappointed. Mess in the reservation, nobody to welcome us at the cabin nor a key like promised, having to struggle to get in touch and waiting an hour for entering... More

Craig Madsen was so easy to work with and patient. As we tried to coordinate our trip, we discovered that where we were staying didn't have cell service! But MRO came through impressively. The boats are new, comfortable and easily manageable. I recommend having them provide lunch. They were able to provide vegan and as well as gluten free meals... More

Montana River Outfitters is a first class company. They set up a day rafting trip for us on the Missouri River following the path of Lewis & Clark. Our boatman was Jay who expertly handled the raft while historian Don Peterson made the history books come alive as he pointed out the portage camps of Lewis & Clark. The river... More

One of the most anticipated aspects of my trip to MT was to fly fish one of the blue ribbon trout rivers with my son who is stationed out here. While both of us have fished, neither of us had ever fly fished. In fact, the sum total of my fly fishing knowledge was gleaned from watching the movie, "River... More
