Parks' Fly Shop is a full-service fly shop and fly fishing outfitter...

Parks' Fly Shop is a full-service fly shop and fly fishing outfitter that has been serving southwest Montana, the Yellowstone River, and Yellowstone National Park since 1953, under continuous Parks family ownership. We are a small "old-fashioned" shop focusing on our region-specific guide service, a large selection of area-specific fly patterns (around 45% designed and/or produced locally), and outfitting anglers for the Yellowstone region. In addition to our fly tackle, we stock conventional fishing gear, bear spray, binoculars and spotting scopes, apparel, and various other odds and ends. You may also be interested in the Gardiner Guesthouse, our affilated B&B, owned by Richard and Nancy Parks. Please check the How-To section of our website or contact us for plenty of free information on fishing the Yellowstone area that will help make your trip a success, whether you're fishing on your own for an afternoon or with our guides for a week.

Guided Fly Fishing Trip

We had a good day of fishing on the Yellowstone River. Our guide worked hard all day to get us into fish. However with bright sun and low river flows it was a challenging day.

I've been hiking and fly fishing in Yellowstone Park for 20 years and I've always found Park's to be the best local shop for both supplies and guides. In my early days in the park, before I could afford a guided trip, I always stopped at Park's Fly Shop for flies and advice. Richard, who is the owner, wrote a... More

I've enjoyed fishing with Wilson on "Walk & Wade" trips at least once a year for 5+ years, and have to say that in addition to being one of the most knowledgeable guides I've fished with over the years, he is one of the best men I have every had the pleasure to meet, and am honored to call him... I went out on a half day with Wilson. Was new to fly fishing, and in a short period of time was able to get a hang of the sport and catch about 20 fish. Wilson explained and demonstrated how easy fly fishing really can be. The shop is full of great guys and gear. Definitely will be doing another... More

We flew 2000 miles to fish with Parks fly shop. We stopped in early to get paperwork done and met our guide for the first of 2 days. Ben was helpful and offered to pick us up at our motel. He met us on time and the float trip on the Yellowstone was great. We caught lots of fish and... More

First, we want to apologize again for our guide's illness. He was fine the evening before and did not get sick (migraine headache and nausea) until 5:30AM the day of the trip, which was too late for us to find a fill-in guide. In the past five years we have had a grand total of three days in which a... More

Very knowledgeable about fishing in the local area and in Yellowstone. Home tied flies. Walter was a great guide and gave us a good float on the Yellowstone. Cheapest bear spray in town! Only disadvantages are No parking close to the shop and no early or late hours.

My brother and I went with Ben on a trip to the Black Canyon of the Yellowstone River. We had a fantastic hike to a remote section of the park (we didn't see anyone else the entire time). Ben was a fantastic guide. We booked a guide for the first day of our visit to Yellowstone in hopes that we... More

My brother and I went with Ben on a guided fishing trip in the northern part of Yellowstone. To say we had a good time would be an understatement. I would call it an epic day of fishing in some wild and beautiful scenery. My brother and I learned a great deal from Ben about fly fishing in Yellowstone, he... More

I have used this shop 12 years ago when I was in Yellowstone and had a great experience so I decided to rebook with again last week. I took my 16 year old son and we had a blast. Just as good as the last time only more fish. Walter was our guide and he was fantastic. I highly recommend... More

The owner is very helpful. We would shop there again. He knows a lot about the local waters and what is working at the time.
