Parks' Fly Shop is a full-service fly shop and fly fishing outfitter that has been serving southwest Montana, the Yellowstone River, and Yellowstone National Park since 1953, under continuous Parks family ownership. We are a small "old-fashioned" shop focusing on our region-specific guide service, a large selection of area-specific fly patterns (around 45% designed and/or produced locally), and outfitting anglers for the Yellowstone region. In addition to our fly tackle, we stock conventional fishing gear, bear spray, binoculars and spotting scopes, apparel, and various other odds and ends. You may also be interested in the Gardiner Guesthouse, our affilated B&B, owned by Richard and Nancy Parks. Please check the How-To section of our website or contact us for plenty of free information on fishing the Yellowstone area that will help make your trip a success, whether you're fishing on your own for an afternoon or with our guides for a week.

The owner is very helpful. We would shop there again. He knows a lot about the local waters and what is working at the time.

Richard Park is probably one of the most knowledgable fly-fishing guides in the west if not the US. It was by accident that I run into the shop, as we were staying in the Gardiner guest house. He is the husband of the owner of the guest house and shares breakfast with the guests. He set up an afternoon float... More

What an awesome day of fishing in Yellowstone National Park with Ben Jewell out of Parks Fly shop. Ben was even more excited to be out fishing with us as we were with him making the day an unforgettable success! We fished a sub-alpine lake and one river in the park with Ben putting us all over the Grayling, Cutthroat... More

Really great trip at the end of May 2015. Ben was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and really helpful. We visited two sites on the full-day trip, and caught Grayling, Cutthroat Trout, and Brown Trout. Ben was putting us right on the fish, and I've never been so tired after a day of fishing, but I would do it every day if I... More

Richard and his team have all the answers for fly fishing, guide trips and other information on the area. He fixed my fly pole and explained the problem and how to avoid it.

Our fishing family had a great three-boat, half-day float on the Yellowstone River with Richard and two of his guides. The fly shop is well stocked with appropriate tackle.

The morning is crazy busy at the shop as guides and customers do paperwork, gear up, and make arrangements for their day of fishing. The weather is always front and center in every conversation because it impacts the creeks and rivers which are the life blood of this town. Richard has his finger on the pulse of what’s happening to... More

I have made 3 trips to YNP over the past 5 years. I have never been disappointed by Parks Fly Shop. Many years of experience and some great guides. I would never dream of using anyone else. Mr. Parks has directed me to some of the finest streams and rivers that I have ever fished. He can tell you exactly... More

Arranged three boats to float the Yellowstone. Got confused and thought I had to decide if the river was fishable. Stooped in had a talk with Mr. Parks and he explained they would tell us if the river was not fishable and assured me they would know. We ended up with a very fishable river. My son and his girlfriend... More

We arrived in Gardiner on Friday and immediately headed to Park's to book a fishing guide. We had hoped for Saturday, but all they had was a half day Sunday afternoon. Ok, we paid the $180 cancellation deposit, changed our plans, and booked another night at a hotel. I was so excited. We arrived at Park's about 15 minutes early,... More

Thank you for your review. Phil will not be taking any more trips for us due to this error. I want to clarify for readers that the reviewer demanded a discount. We would certainly have run the trip for the normal amount of time (4-6 hours from door to door) if we had been able to start an hour later... More
