This museum has mineral specimens found locally and worldwide. They are well categorized and interesting to read about. The worker (volunteer?) there was very knowledgeable about the minerals and happy to answer questions. It also had a nice gift shop. This is a must-see if you are near Butte. More

This museum is housed in one quite large room on the Montana Tech campus. It is well marked and easy to find, plus there are helpful locals nearby to help you if you should be unable to find it.
