Love this place and the care they provide the Bears is amazing! Hats off to Ami and Bill. With the recent improvements, it is a great place to take guests and children. Not only do you get to view Grizzlies safely but staff are on hand to educate you on them as well.

Had never checked this place out until recently. Definitely worth it if you want to see grizzlies close up. If you've never been to one of these places, they bring a grizzly or two out for about an hour of playtime. So you get to watch grizzlies from about 10 feet away (when they get close) and learn about them... More

The people that run this really love these bears. The Bears look really happy. It was a quick and inexpensive must see experience.

After a week of hiking in bear country I was happy to say that this is how I encountered bears. They rotates the different grizzly bears which they have through their one viewing area every 3 hrs. We we happy to have arrived just before the transition; however, the fee which is paid per car covers two days of visits... More

The Encounter is very much like a zoo, in that the enclosures for such large animals never seem to be big enough. That said, seeing Grizzlies up close really gives you the reference of how large they are.

This is the best way to get up close with a grizzly. The experience was great. All of the bears are rescues and it is obvious they receive the best care and love. The admission price is very reasonable and good for two days. They only have two of the five bears out at the same time for about 3... More

Stopped by the Montana Grizzly Encounter on our way over to Livingston from Bozeman, Montana. What a great time! The grizzly's were running around and jumping in the water and wrestling with each other. The trainers provided kept a running dialogue on the bears and there habits. Every one should stop at this exhibit!

It's tough for me to see bears not in the wilderness where they should be, but unfortunately the Bears here can't be released into the wild because they were rescued from horrible situations where they have been in captivity at such a your age. It is great to see that the MGE really take care of these bears and it... More

Nice, Clean venue to see Grizzlies up close and personal. Staff is very informative with any questions you may have. Bears seem happy and are well fed and cared for. Plan to go two different times of the day do you can see more bears. They have defined play times.

Took my kids here while on vacation. It it small but nice. They time the bears so not all the bears are out at once. However, your admission fee covers two days so you can come back the next day and see the other bears. I did learn a lot about bears. It was nice to be able to see... More
