I finally gave in and decided to take my family here. What an amazing facility. The couple who owns it are some of the friendliest people I have met. Very knowledgeable and truly love and care for the bears! I will come every time I come through to support them and their efforts to genuinely educate the public!

I went in with a preconceived bias thinking tourist trap. It's not, if you listen to the gentleman who owns, feeds, and cares for the bears you can't leave without feeling his passion. After listening to some of the questions being presented and answered I could easily see how folks would feel that the answers are rehearsed but how many... More

This was amazing...the guy running it was sooooo knowledgable and interesting. Need to get there late morning so you can see the first pair of bears before they change at 1ish..then the other two come out. Well worth the visit and only $7 per adult...bargain.

The Montana Grizzly Encounter is a must see. It not too expensive and very educational. The staff there is very knowledgable about the bears and treat them like their children. The bears were fun to watch and see them play. They have 4 bears there, and have 2 at a time to see. We got the privilege to see Brutus... More

Nice facility and bears seem well taken care of. Our guide was knowledgable but seemed disinterested in having us there. His answers to questions were rehearsed, belittling and very arrogant. Felt he needed to spend a little less time with the bears and more with people.

A safe way to see grizzly bears close up. $7 a ticket which can be used over 2 days. Non profit park, all proceeds go to feeding these gorgeous bears. Different bears rotate through the outdoor enclosure putting on an entertaining display for all.

We loved our visit to the Montana Grizzly Encounter. Lucy was out when we arrived. Bill the owner gave us a very interesting and informative talk about bear behaviour & bear safety. Meanwhile Lucy the two year old rescued bear entertained us with her antics. She swam, walked around and ate apples. She was in excellent condition and well cared... More

I have been here twice and enjoy viewing the bears that are out at the time. They typically have some good animation and it's great for kids to get an up-close view of the bears. They have some educational items and talk to kids about the bears and their history and habits.

This is a very small "zoo" of 5 bears. Only 1-2 bears are out for viewing at one time, But it is a fantastic opportunity to see bears VERY up close. The best part is the education about bears that one of the owners provides. He really loves the bears and is committed to disseminating accurate information. I really learned... More

We were staying at Howler's B&B and Wolf Sanctuary so we decided to walk (3miles) to the Grizzly Encounter. They have 5 bears, with usually only 2 on display at a time (your ticket is valid for multiple entries over 2 days). We met Jake and Maggie - it was really incredible to observe these animals up close, and especially... More
