The only item we ordered that we unanimously liked was the pan seared gorgonzola scallops. The rest of the items on the menu lacked flavor or just missed the mark.

Gallatin River Lodge Horse Ranch near Bozeman, Montana and Yellowstone National Park offers fly fishing guide service from our 350 acre location on the Gallatin River. Property has over two miles of the river with osprey, herons, whitetail deer, eagles, and other wildlife. Horses are boarded in the winter months. Property has hiking trails near the river and cross country ski trails in the winter months. Nice retreat location and superb wedding venue.

This was our third stay at the Gallatin River Lodge. First of all, the accommodations are beautiful. Each room in the main lodge (they are adding an adjacent building with more rooms) has a whirlpool tube, shower, fireplace and king bed. We have always stayed in the winter, the slow season, and it has always been very quite and relaxing....

Imagine a white linen restaurant in an out-of-the way small hotel with excellent food. That describes the Gallatin River Lodge.

The lodge specializes in fishing, but during the winter offers special packages for non-fishers. The setting is lovely, surrounded by fields and distant mountain ranges. Our large room included a big, comfortable bed, a sitting area, a whirlpool tub and a gas fireplace. The restaurant serves excellent food with a local flavor. The wine list is also quite good. The...
