Take a walk around the lake, experience the Montan fish and Game visitors center, watch wildlife, drop in a line, go swimming. This is a neat little park and lake. There is a big beach area and trail around most of the lake. It is a State Park

We visited the Park out of curiosity and to see the lake. Locals can access the park free of charge while everyone else is charged an entry fee. This charge does not appear to be widely advertised. While the facilities are adequate, the water is murky and the sandy 'beach' could be more likened to sandy loam. A shower following... More

This is a park with a small lake and you can take your kids, dogs, etc. there. The day we went a very large sporting goods store was doing demonstrations of all kinds of water gear. The park was really nice and even though the parking lot was full because of the demo going on there was still plenty of... More

I am a countrypolitan, so anytime I find a park or pond in town, I go there. While visiting, I heard about Lake Elmo, and went there to visit. It is a small park with several pavilions. You can go boating with oars, but not motors. You can fish. There is a little museum. There is a path around part... More

Simply a picnic area with a small lake. OK area, but does it warrant a 'state park' designation? There may be fishing but we didn't try and saw no others fishing.

We stopped by on our cross country trip to SUP and it was awesome! $6 for parking for out of state license plates and don't forget to wear a life jacket or else you might get a ticket! Not the biggest lake in the world-- but was nice paddling around for an hour (did the perimeter of lake) with the... More

I like to take my 100 lb. white lab swimming at the dog section. Admission is free for Montanans. there is plenty of parking with a separate parking lot on the west side for the dog section. The path is short and the slope into the lake is great for dogs to play.

Lake Elmo is a small lake on the edge of Billings. It's a great place to wade with the kids or take a walk.

After growing up on a massive lake and living on the ocean in Hawaii, this little pond didn't really do much for me, but I guess if it's the only option for water in the area, it will have to do! There was a little trail all the way around it, so you can walk your dog for about 10... More

Free if you have a Montana license plate. Very nice place in town to sit by the water, go swimming or just relax for the day..
