I took a trip to Billings Mt with my husband and two kids and decided to go to the zoo because i read some reviews that had some nice things to say about it.... well.... A wonderful zoo with quality exhibits and well-cared for creatures. You feel like you are in the country, even though you are less than five minutes from the city of Billings. ZooMontana is not your ordinary zoo. i usually avoid zoos because as an animal lover, I don't enjoy seeing animals confined in cages. This zoo is different. I think the zoo has a lot of animals for being a fairly new zoo. Great natural setting. I saw bald eagles, wolves, owls, bighorns, river otters, wolverine, porcupine, siberian tiger, red panda, sika deer, a lot of ducks, geese and barn animals including a HUGE horse. more

This is a VERY SMALL zoo. Half of it is comprised of domesticated animals (or so it seems). Though the zoo is located in Montana, there are no bears. If you're from out of town, save your money and drive to Yellowstone National park where you can see animals in the wild. The zoo does have scheduled activities for kids,... more
