Great place to bring a loaf of bread to feed the ducks and geese! Also has a great trail for hiking/jogging around the lake and over to the Yellowstone River.

River Front Park is a walker's paradise. Plenty of wooded paths, picnic tables, lots of wild bird life, fishing, nice clover grass grounds. good parking. A great place to walk your dogs, or take the kids. It is stunning in the fall. So many trees!!!
Great location, needs a little TLC. Probably gets more traffic than the city can keep up with. Much of the trail area is paved.
It's just not that great a place; as a "park", it is lacking...in atmosphere, which is what a park-like setting is supposed to have...too noisy, to sparse, etc.
Riverfront is GORGEOUS... until you get out of your car and the blood sucking insects attack in mass. Then while trying to run away from the swarm you inevitably step in bird droppings. Also, if you are allergic to Russian Olive trees, better to stay away from Riverfront.
there is nothing to do there at all! i was very disappointed in this "park". nothing for the kids to do at all. no picnic tables to set up lunch for a family. port-a-potties stunk very bad.
With all the walking paths right on the river, the park setting, and the great good times we have - there is only one draw back. This place is no secret! A lot of people come here and use this park. Some days it is hard to find a picnic table, but even with having our lunch on the ground...

I have been going to riverfront since I can remember and we love it. I have caught catfish, carp, sunfish, bass, and trout. The kids love to feed the ducks and a guy can put a float tube or a canoe in as well and it has bathrooms and picnic tables. The only complaint I would have is mosquitos all...

If you have kids and they love feeding ducks this is the place to go. The park is also right on the Yellowstone river. You can picnic, hike along the river and let the kids run wild.
take your family here for a nice picnic, or go for a jog through this great little park. Buy a fishing license, don't forget the warm water stamp because you can fish in the little ponds for blue gill and bass.
