What a Great Lake! We have gone for years, and our kids love it. It is a quiet lake, not much wind, but not a lot of water, either. There is plenty of room to ski, tube or fish, but if it was crowded, it would be difficult. Fortunately, it has never been crowded in all the years we have... More

Much of the lake has private beaches so you have to go to the public launch areas. The lake has a lot of fish and turtle, so small boats, kayaks, paddle boards are best suited to this lake. But if you like to swim, this lake is great because the waters are warm and calm.

My husband and I were in the area for the 4th of July so we stopped for breakfast. Menu was very good-you could get lunch anytime as well if you are like me and not a breakfast lover. It was very busy that morning but there was lots of wait staff and helpers. We were able to sit on the... More

This restaurant is one of my favorite places in the lower Flathead Valley to go and have breakfast or dinner. They have a Salmon Omelet that is absolutely wonderful!

This was a stop on the way to Kalispell, MT. It was a ways back off the main hwy, not hard to find. This is a beautiful lake with lots of birds. We saw a Bald Eagle, egrets and Canadian Geese. There is a nice easy trail that borders the shoreline that is also worth taking. The best event was... More

Just follow the signs to the state boat launch area and paddle around the lake. Many private house surround the lake so you have to watch out for motor boats. There are free PFDs available for the kids and a host.

This little cafe is always busy because it is so good and the prices are very reasonable. The breakfast menu is very expansive and includes some very interesting selections. The portions are ample and the service is friendly and efficient. You can't go wrong at this local favorite.
