My son and I were complete novices and we caught 7 trout between us. 5 were my sons and I caught a 17" rainbow trout. This success was purely as a result of the training and guidance of Rod our guide. This was a very professional experience beginning with the booking. Our guide provided some bottled waters and some local... More

My wife and I had the opportunity to fish with Jason, the owner, last week in the Swan River. Jason was very helpful from the start: He picked a timeframe with us and told us to call the day before to check out the river conditions and check our options. When we did, he explained our options and help us... More

Going to Montana and not fly fishing's like going to Africa but not going on a safari. I have down a lot of stream and lake fishing but never succeeded at fly fishing. I did a half day trip on the Bigfork river, and after instruction on casting, was able to fish and catch trout. I had a great time,... More

We went out with guide Brent on the Flathead River, in search of trout. Calling our little group "novice" fly-fishermen would be a slight to real novices. Admittedly, we are a group of Southern "bait chuckers", much more at home in a bass rig on the local lake, with a Zoom Finesse Worm in search of 4 lb largemouth. However,... More

Great trip on the Bigfork River. We are two novice fly fisherman and Jason did a great job of instruction to get us started. He knew the "secret cuttthroat" holes and we had a great trip. Just enough instruction so that we caught fish and learned a bit about fly fishing. Nice little fly shop in Bigfork and a great... More

If you love to fly fish or want to love to fly fish Bigfork Anglers is THE place to go. Excellent guided trips on beautiful Montana rivers with big beautiful fish and plenty of them to catch. If you don't book a trip with Jason at Bigfork Anglers, you might as well stay home and watch fly fishing on tv.

My husband and I did our first guided float trip last week through Bigfork Anglers fly shop. Our guide was Brent and we floated the Middle Fork of the Flathead. Brent was really helpful with casting tips and guided us to fish the best parts of the river. He was really knowlegeable in the different trout in the river and... More

Jason set my friend Jeff and I up with a half day drift boat. We set off at 4:00pm with our guide Sam Clark and fished the Flathead River. We caught a lot of fish and found Sam to be an excellent coach, full of local knowledge....and a fun guy to be around. I would highly recommend Bigfork Anglers.

We had a wonderful day with Jason! My husband (more experienced) and me (novice) both had a great fly-fishing experience. Jason was very knowledgable, personable, and above all patient with me!
