The only time you'll rub elbows with other skiers at Moonlight Basin is on the chairlift ride up the mountain. This resort has plenty of great terrain for every level of skier and if you visit during the week you'll probably have most of it to yourself. The Horseshoe run is a blue cruiser that goes on for ever and... More

Easy to ski over from Big Sky and the runs are long, and wonderful. More

The weather was cold and crisp, the sky so blue it didn't seem real and the skiing was great. More

No line ups. The terrain is varied. Take the Six chair as the rest are slow. Great hill, super long runs. More

Moonlight Basin is just beside Big Sky. Its worth the extra $ to purchase a lift ticket that covers both mountains. Moonlight felt more like a "locals" side of the mountain and the trails were in great shape! More

All the terrain you could want from crazy double blacks to long blue cruisers. Combine this with Big Sky and the number of runs is ridiculous. Well groomed runs daily. Great ski school with small class size and easy enrollment. Uncrowded slopes and no lift lines. Terrain parks, too, if you're into that sort of thing. Limited apres' ski options,... More

We've been skiing here since Moonlight opened. We have been happy until now. They recently brought in new management from Colorado and have ruined the experience that used to exist. This place reminds me of Keystone, Co. If that is your thing, have at it. Otherwise steer clear. Plenty of options out there. Expore. More

We extended our Big Sky pass for $31 each to enjoy a bluebird (sunny for other Brits!) day at Moonlight. We are reasonably good intermediate skiers and enjoyed the long immaculatly groomed blue runs off the Six Shooter and Lone Tree lifts. The gladed run Single Jack gave an easy intro to tree skiing. Another gladed run, Old Faithfull /Grizzly... More

We will remember this area for long runs on perfectly maintained (but interesting) trails with spectacular views. More

If you want to get away from the crowded lift lines, this is the place to go. The resort is an easy drive from Bozeman, Montana. The lift lines are non-existant. The employees treat you like they are happy you are visiting. They have an excellent ski school staff. We were at Moonlight for a week and never ran into... More
