I had an outstanding day! This resort adds to the acreage of Big Sky to provide 75,000 acres of terrain! I was impressed by the range of runs from long and varied blues to exquisite double black diamond chutes to jump into. The entrance gates to some of the chairs arranged as if we were race horses await our start... More

This is the quiet side of the mountain if you can say lone peak is busy , for there is so many runs you do not see or wait for anyone. This is a great side to get out of the Sth West winds and the groomed and the ungroomed runs are great for people that can not ski to... More

My family and I came here for a week during winter break. My husband snowboards and my son and I ski. We all had a wonderful time. The mountain offers an incredible range of terrain for every level of skiier/boarder. No crowds, great conditions and beautiful views. We were surprised that there were no lift lines during the week between... More

That pretty much sums up Moonlight Basin. I experienced a fun powder day there last Tuesday and I felt like I had the whole mountain to myself. It was awesome! The groomers (blue runs) were so fun on this mountain! Plenty of room to traverse. For lunch we dined at the Moonlight Lodge which was a real treat! I cannot... More

Although the snow didn't cooperate this year, we absolutely LOVE Moonlight! The skiing is (usually) awesome and the there are NO crowds. The tickets now include Big Sky so there is LOTS of terrain to explore.

Recently visited Big Sky and stayed in Moonlight Basin. The lodge is fabulous - great staff, fun bar and out of the fray of Big Sky. Moonlight Basin has some great terrain (trees, bowls and groomers). You have to hike up to the Headwaters lift to get up into the chutes that lead in to the main bowl. This was... More

Great food at the lodge. the six shooter chair is one of the longest chairs. to make matters worse, I rode it inthe rain last Tuesday .UGH. The lodge is spectacular. The food was OK, nothing special. The service was less than average. it took forever to get the check and we were anxious to ski

Most of this mountain is north facing and the snow stays in better shape longer. No lifts lines and some great tree shots!

It's hard to believe that Moonlight wasn't always part of Big Sky as each resort really compliments the other. I actually enjoyed the Moonlight area more than the original Big Sky side. The runs are long, glades are nicely spaced and the lift lines are minimal even on a weekend. It was too bad that conditions didn't allow me to... More
