If you haven't been skiing at Moonlight Basin you are really missing out. The skiing is unbelievable. I've been to Vail, Breckinridge and Killington and none of these come close to the ski environment at Moonlight Basin. The best part is there was no wait in the lift lines.

This place is awesome, you must rent a helmet. I knew something looked different while on the lift going to the top. I would say almost 99.9% had on helmets with the exceptions of the 6 in our group. There are no catch fences, its just a grip and rip place. Great runs, multiple ways to get down the mountain.... More

Now linked permanently with Big Sky on the same lift pass so I'm sure it will have more skier visitors than in the past when they were "separate" but linked areas. I skied here 2nd week of December and loved the isolation of skiing slopes that were completely devoid of other skiers. The pistes are well groomed and wide for... More

I volunteered here for 6 years and it was fantastic. Very family oriented and the skiing is amazing! Very small lift lines and the tree runs are awesome!

We stumbled across this place while staying in Big Sky and it's fabulous!!! The lodge where the dining room is located is at the top of the mountains and offers great views. The staff is exceptional and even gave me a free glass of wine since it was my birthday. Once a week there's a barbecue which was pretty tasty... More

since there's no spot to rate the headwaters grille, I unfortunately have to write a bad review on the moonlight page. Moonlight Basin is beautiful and the skiing is fantastic. just be warned about the food at the headwaters. every year when I come back it is like a wild card. there's zero consistency and prices keep going up while... Rented a house in Moonlight Basin last week and it was fantastic. The clubhouse is beautiful and we enjoyed the outside pool. Can't wait to return in the winter!!!

Moonlight is the sister mountain to Big Sky and just keeps adding to the size of your skiing experience. You do need a separate or combo lift ticket when skied with Big Sky. These folks could not be friendlier. We traveled everywhere in the area by free shuttle. We stayed at Big Sky and walked or shuttled to everything in... More

Having been an annual visitor to Whitefish I was accustomed to great service and no crowds. I was wowed to find the service even better, friendlier and dare I say less crowded. Moonlight is 2000 acres of varied terrain from beginner to extreme with the incredible Headwaters which sits above Stillwater Bowl. Both kids participated in ski school multiple days... More

We have been skiing Moonlight since 2007, and will not go anywhere else! We skied Christmas week, and finished with the last week. 4 days of snow and powder skiing groomed runs for 8 days! Our 3 year old grandchild was in ski school/daycare with the best staff, Keya and Beth Ann. Her lessons were to be group, every day... More
