My family and I spend 14 days just outside of Big Sky in July 2014 and used Gallatin River Guides to help with supplies, advice and guided trips. Jimmy and the crew could not have been more helpful. Their knowledge of the Gallatin, Madison and Yellowstone were spot on! The effort that their entire crew went through to help all... More

I had the pleasure of spending 5 1/2 days with Pat, Mike & Sean on a exceptionally well organised an guided trip early September. My aim was to experience Montana and drastically step up my mediocre fly fishing abilities. I couldn't have had a better time. The whole time was absolutely superb - fished the Gallatin, Yellowstone, Madison, Gibbon rivers,... More

The review is totally geared to the abilities, knowledge, attitude and results OF a guide named Aaron Broughton. His particular performance over a period of 3 days fishing the Upper Madison and Yellowstone Rivers is way above any norm. There are many other very good guides, but its just his performance that is truly worthy of the word "OUTSTANDING" Recommend... More

Great outfit, great guides. Last time I fished was 10 years ago in the Northeast. I wanted the Montana experience. 16 fishes later I couldn't be happier. All I can say is " I'll be back" RJW

We had booked a 4 day fly fishing trip in Big Sky in August 2014. While there, we stopped in the Gallatin River Guides Fishing store to purchase a pair of wading boots. We experienced good service from the sales person. While we did not purchase the boots that day we returned the following day, purchasing the boots, 2 shirts,... More

Even as a novice, it was extremely fun and I can see why people get hooked on fly fishing. It was a full day trip, but it went by way too fast. I was with my mother in one boat for 8 hours, while my siblings were in the second boat. It felt like 4 hours. The guides were flexible,... More

Everyone here is friendly, patient and understanding. Our two kids took an hour out back at the stocked lake. The guide was so kind and sweet, and took the time to talk fishing, too. Later that day my wife took a 2hr trip to the river and had a great time. This is the place I'd recommend for anyone. Thanks... More

Took my son for two full days- day 1 wading into the Gallatin with Bob (the teacher) and day 2 drifting Yellowstone with Ross (the fish whisperer)! We had a blast! Bob was an excellent teacher with 25+ yrs experience and had a very composed way of teaching the technique as well as how to read the river for max... More

Had a great time fly fishing with the family on our trip out to Montana. My sister and I were in a boat together for about 8 hours, and our guide successfully had us catch three fish each, an impressive feat given our inexperience. Overall the guide was knowledgeable, patient, and very instructive. Extra points for being able to deal... More
