I am providing a review for the fly shop. I thought the Gallatin River Guides shop was excellent. All the best equipment, very very friendly staff, and a modern / very pleasant store environment. They are right near the Gallatin and they have become one of my go to places now.

The folks at the shop were super friendly and helpful. My son (13) and I took a day float trip down the Yellowstone with guide Josh Osborne and had a great time. I highly recommend these guys.

My family took two guides from Gallatin River guides and had an INCREDIBLE experience. Both groups caught many rainbow trout and a few brown trout. We learned the basics quickly and efficiently and got on the water almost immediately. We started pulling fish in right away. Our guides we pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful and fun! We truly enjoyed our trip and... More

This was my first time in Montana, and I will be back! Pat was professional, prompt, accommodating, and friendly. He planned a mid- June walk and wade trip for my brother, my dad, and me. We arrived at the wonderfully stocked fly shop, met our guide, and spent the day catching big trout! Trey Braasch knows the Madison, but he... More

My grand kids first flyfishing experience was a huge success both days. The walk and wade everyone hooked up and landed mutiple fish every hour of their very first flyfishing day. Skylar, my Grand daughter, caught her first trout on her new 5wt after the guides taught her to cast. Her confidence level soared with each fish the GRG guides... More

I chose GRG because of they had great communication and customer relation skills as I tried to set up a fly fishing guide on a last minute trip to Bozeman. Jimmy (manager) was outstanding and arranged my walk and wade with a highly experienced guide Peter, who was so knowledgeable and patient with me. It was a fun day on... More

He is one of the best guides I've ever fished with. Friendly, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and fun to be with. He shared our enthusiasm over each fish caught. I can't say enough good things about him and the trip we took

After nearly 56 years of fly fishing in Montana - my Pops had me fly fishing when I was just seven years old while on vacation in Ennis, Montana - I have finally fished the Missouri River out of Craig Montana. Can't think of too many great rivers and streams throughout Montana that I haven't played in, but since our... More

A wonderful days fishing with Gary from Gallatin River Guides. Gary could not have been more helpful, picking us up, warming us up with a streamside fire and most of all guiding with exceptional skill and manner on the river. I thought I was quite a good fisherman and discovered that I have a lot to learn and Gary never... More
