My husband and I took a 2 hour trail ride at Cedar Mountain Corrals earlier this summer. The horses (“Fred” and “Latte”) were very well mannered and sure footed on the rustic mountain trails. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the views were amazing. We will definitely plan to go on the dinner ride on our next visit to... More

Our guides were knowledgeable horsemen that took us off the beaten path for a true walk on the wild side aboard a horse. The animals we rode were well suited to each of us and we ended the day with an awesome out west dining experience. Greatly recommend for someone looking for a rustic day in the outdoors.

We arrived at the corral, and there was a horse that had gotten herself into a bad situation. She was hooked up to part of a carriage rig, and somehow she had gotten herself around the hitching post and was laying down under it with one of the post between her front and back legs. She could not get up... More

During our stay at Big Sky Resort, we booked a 2-hour horseback ride on the backside of Lone Peak Mountain. The Moonlight side of the mountain is just as beautiful as the Big Sky side. We enjoyed every moment of our ride and took some beautiful photos. We are beginner riders and the staff took good care of us. The... More

We took our 2 kids, 10 and 13 on a 2 hour ride with Brittany, our guide. It was a really good experience. We are all beginners and not at all confident on horses. The horses were really calm and sure footed. This was especially reassuring since we went out on a real mountain trail, sometimes steep. The corral is right... More

We had a blast on our horseback ride with 3 great guides. The views and terrain were incredible. Our two hour ride led us to a wonderful cowboy dinner. Tables set up in a beautiful spot with some shade and our wonderful cook, Tim. He grilled up steaks, chicken and salmon along with baked/sweet potatoes, baked beans, biscuits and grilled... More

Went solo on July 21, 2014 with guide Hannah. She was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, friendly, funny and accommodating. Incredible views of Lone Mountain. Great trails through timber and meadows. Trail is not flat and boring. Plenty of stream crossings, steep hills and twists and turns. Felt 100% safe the whole time riding Baxter the Snackster. Met the owner,... More

Our family has done several trail rides across the US and this by far takes the cake. You get your money's worth with a long trail ride into some of the best country anywhere. The horses were calm and easy to lead. We ended with a great meal of steak, baked or sweet potatos, corn, beans, biscuits and dessert. The... More

We booked a ride with Cedar Mountain because it is a very short drive (5-10 mins) from the Big Sky resort. We did a two hour ride through the mountains nearby with stunning views of Lone Peak. Our guide, Michelle, was great, the horses were calm, and our boys (ages 8 and 11) had a wonderful time. We saw a... More

They were able to accommodate our large family (17) for a last minute trail ride and we couldn't have been more impressed. Great Horses, great scenery, great guides. Worth every Penney! Highly Recommended.
