Being hauled 1500ft up a mountain, along a snowy trail by 2 magnificent white horses and under a starry sky will rate as one of my special memories of our short stay in Montana. Charlie was so gentle with the horses, Harry and Sophie, and they responded accordingly. We were very snug with our family group taking it in turns... More

Group of 7 of us completed 2 hour+ ride. We were all basically inexperienced riders and Charlie and Mo were great. From the beginning they had great rapport with all and were thorough (and entertaining) as they prepared us for the ride. Each of our seven horses (couple of mules) was well behaved just as Charlie and Mo had promised.... More

Visited with friends and had a fabulous afternoon. Food all cooked on a wood burner was wonderfully, especially the prime rib. Travelled up the mountain to over 6000 ft on horse drawn buggy pulled by two wonderful Percherons. Weather wonderfull in October with snow on mountain tops in the distance. Reached by a 3 mile dirt road from main highway,... More

We had the pleasure of taking a 4-day, 3-night pack trip with Cache Creek Outfitters, and truly having the experience of a lifetime! Seeing the backcountry of Yellowstone on horseback, living within it, and feeling the pulse of the Wilderness can only be described as inspirational. We had some wonderful fly-fishing time in the Snake River, with Charlie advising and... More

Our family of eight had a spectacular time at the cowboy cookout. The experience was a highlight of our vacation to Big Sky, Montana. We were taken on a 20 minute ride up the mountain on a horse drawn wagon to a beautiful rustic dining hall softly lit by lanterns that has been built by hand by the owner. The... More

We had a blast on the horseback/fly-fishing trip. There was a small group - only four of us, plus two staff - and the staff, Alex and Christi, were friendly, kind, hard-working, and very good at what they do. We learned so much about horses, fishing, and Montana wildlife. We took a ride up into Spanish Creak, and the views... More

After reviewing several different horseback riding establishments, I chose Cache Creek Outfitters. There were 2 main reasons I chose this establishment. First, all of the other places I called had a 230 or 240 weight limit to ride. My hubby is 265, but he is almost 6ft. 4in. Cache Creek had no problem accommodating him. They have Percheron Horses that... More
