My first thought when my grown son suggested that we go to Wild Animal Safari was if the animals were not cared for it would be a miserable outing. We decided to give it a try. We were extremely pleased at the condition of the critters. They were all well fed. Water bowls were all full of crystal clear water... More

Our kindergartener had their class field trip here. Having been to the Balto Zoo, San Diego Zoo, National Tiger Sanctuary, Drive Thru Safari at Six Flags and WDW, this was okay from a parent's perspective. Unfortunately, I felt some of the cages especially for the lions was way too small. It naturally has a strong odor, but it could probably... More

We weren't sure what to expect, having seen this attraction from the highway on our way through Springfield down to Dallas, but we decided to stop and give it a chance on the way back. We were lucky enough to come on a bright, sunny, not-too-hot day, so all of the animals were active and attentive. The cost was reasonable,... More

This safari has a drive-through and also a walk-through part. You can buy bags of food for the animals and when doing the drive-through, and feed and pet the animals from your window. Most of the animals aren't shy! They'll stick their head right in your car and try to steal the food or give you a kiss! Beware of... More

We really liked how you could feed the animals, when it was time to move on we just slowly rolled away. The kids where a little hesitant to feed them, but once they got into it they even would pet them. I didn't mess with the Emu and Ostrich. You will get slobbered on. I didn't think much of the... Ok yes the area where you buy tickets and see the animals in pens needed sprucing up. Granted. People working there were nice. And the safari was fabulous - I thought it would be lame - nope. The animals - bunches at a time - come right up and let you pet them (if you have snacks). When do you... More

Shorter version of the original park. A little run down but still a nice setting. Who doesn't like a zebra almost biting your arm off! More

We visited this park on a very cold day. The animals do not have proper shelter. The big cats were all curled up shivering out in the open. The "shelters" are little concrete boxes that a German Shepherd couldn't fit in, but they think a Tiger or Panther can. They had some very young cats, a lion and cougar who... More
