This place is fun for all ages. Cheaper if you buy a science museum membership and then can use almost all science centers in the country for one year. Can buy at the center. the memberships get the entire family into the centers depending on the type of membership. Fun place for several hours.

We took our very curious 4 year old grandson and he loved it. Lot's of interactive things for him to do. Even excavating a dinosaur fossil. A few things were not working (I can only think from the constant use) but for the most part very enjoyable. Plan to stay for several hours.

We had a 5 year old, 12 year old and 4 adults in our group. We all found something interesting at the Discovery Center. The amount of interactive things are endless. We all thought that blowing big bubbles was the best activity. It isn't a place to rush through.

Fun place for small children. Each exhibit has "What to do" and "What's going on" explanation; very informative and educational. The 4th floor: the cultures exhibits seriously lacking materials. There are picnic tables at the entrance, but no concessions that sells food or drink so if you want to eat, you must bring food.

I went here with my Grandpa, and was one of the best three hours I've ever spent! My favorite part was the weather part of The Discovery Center. I love the scientific part of this museum, and that you actually learn something when you go there. I also loved the giant hamster wheel!!!! I recommend it highly!!!

I brought my 3 year old here over the summer. He was only interested in a few things. They didn't really have that much to do. I was bored and I love discovery centers. Fun for a little bit, but you're done pretty fast. Not worth the price.

To my knowledge, this is the only science center in Springfield. They have different activities at different times, but fun for the whole family.

Husband was at a work conference so my 3&5 yr olds needed something to do and we picked this based on TA reviews - great choice! A lot of typical items you find in children museums but some unique and just lots of options. Boys didn't want to leave even after a few hours! I'd say ave was 2-3 hrs... More

Discovery Center is a science-focused kid center. There are lots of interactive kiosks and activities for kids to experiment with. They also have great camp programs in the summer and on school days out. A bit pricey though for some families.

Our kids love it here! So much to do and see and be involved with! Great science performance. We loved the "Springfield" area and the dino room
