Wow! How the Wild Things have grown!!

I had not been back to this zoo since the early 90's. I believe there is even some history relating to an incident where the zoo was nearly closed down! So glad this has not... read more

It is not the San Diego Zoo but it's not bad. It is a small zoo and can be walked easily so it is good for small children.

The Springfield Zoo isn't like other big cities. Unlike St. Louis, the Springfield Zoo you have to pay to enter and it isn't necessarily worth the money. There is a nice play area where you can picnic in front of the zoo and inside. They do a good job of keeping the facilities clean and it's fine for its small... More

My husband, 7 year old son, and I stopped here on our way to Branson. I was happy with the zoo as we started. It was on a weekday and was not very crowded. There were lots of peacocks roaming freely which my son really enjoyed. His favorite part was obviously feeding the giraffes, which was really cool. They had... More

My daughter and I absolutely loved Dickerson Park Zoo! She is 17 years old and the quote of the day for her was " I have been licked by a giraffe! My life is complete! =)" There were several people there that day, but it was not so crowded that you could not walk and enjoy yourself. Almost all of... More

Me and my husband stopped at this zoo on our weekend get a way. We are suckers for zoos and go to any and every one we can. This zoo was slightly above average. It is rather large but several exhibits have blsck fencing that makes it hard to see the animals or take pictures, especially when the animals are... More

Vacationing In Branson and drove to Springfield to see the zoo was well worth the drive! Lots of hills so be sure to get a stroller if you have little ones!

I had not been back to this zoo since the early 90's. I believe there is even some history relating to an incident where the zoo was nearly closed down! So glad this has not happened. And, super excited to see the development that has taken place and continues to take place at this small but grand zoo! When I... More

We took our grandchildren here. It was an awesome day of experiencing all the excitement of youngsters seeing wild life! It was entertaining for us all the way down to our 2 yr old. Places to eat on the park, plenty of restrooms located thru out the park( you know his little ones can be) and entry of friendly staff.... More

Adults only on this visit. We really enjoy this small zoo. We try to go when we are in town. Looking forward to seeing what is coming in the areas that were under construction.
