Great Experience at a Small and Intimate Zoo!

Not going to say this compares to big city zoos, but for a smaller place this one is pretty cool. I visited with my wife and our two grandchildren (10-12) on July 21st. I grew up... read more

Not going to say this compares to big city zoos, but for a smaller place this one is pretty cool. I visited with my wife and our two grandchildren (10-12) on July 21st. I grew up in Springfield and had not been to the zoo in over 20 years. I was pleasantly surprised to see the great additions and improvements... More

When my girls were young it was their favorite zoo. Filled with all kinds of fun and experiences. Great family time.

This is a really nice zoo for the area. It had quite a few animals. The peacocks (pea fowl) roaming free was pretty cool to see. You could get really close to some of the animals, which was awesome. Overall for the area it was a nice zoo. The map is pretty confusing, or just the layout of the zoo... More

This is a little zoo with not much too see. It is kept up well however and it is nice to have in the area. The price is way too high for the size of the zoo.

Nice zoo, as far as zoos go. Some of the enclosures re pretty small, but nice layout with lots of natural vegetation. Repetitive behavior seen with some animals. Some areas closed for repair.

I'm glad we have a zoo and it has gotten better since I first visited in the 70's (I think). I have gotten spoiled by visiting larger zoos across the nation and around the world, though. It is easy to get through all the exhibits in a few hours and the price is fair. Not a large variety of animals,... More

We went to the Zoo in June of 2015. My family was not impressed at all. Large front portion of the zoo was closed down. "Elephant Encounter" consisted of watching a zoo worker feed the animal from far off then she hosed the elephant down and washed away all the food she had just fed. Seemed wasteful. Elephant had it's... More

This was a pretty nice zoo for the area. It was fun for the kids to see the animals and they have a petting zoo where you can feed the animals and then there is also an area where you can feed the Giraffe's. It has all of the animals that define a zoo but it is sad when you... More

This is a lovely little zoo with a very fun train ride around the park. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

It is not the San Diego Zoo but it's not bad. It is a small zoo and can be walked easily so it is good for small children.
