Our zoo may not be that big, its easily seen in a half day, but it is one of the better ones I have been to. There are a lot of animals that are easy to see, but who have nice enclosures. The giraffe area has a place for people to hand feed the giraffe's if they want which is... More

The zoo is set up very nice. The pathways are easily followed to all of the exhibits. They have a great collection of animals, even a section for Missouri native animals. The river otters are super fun to watch. :). The giraffes are also fun, you can interact with them by feeding them treats. If you're looking for a fun... More

I had not been practicing law long when the firm with which I was employed as an associate, advised me that one of our major financial clients had decided to aid a group of individuals by providing legal council in organizing a zoological society to assist with the old and neglected Dickerson Park Zoo. I was detailed as the young... More

Love the animals and that you can feed them. Great Zoo to walk around. Friendly people. Not overly priced.

This zoo is not as big or as great as the ones in bigger cities, but for a city the size of Springfield, it is a great place. Kids will love the animals and their exhibits. Nice walkways and you can even feed the giraffe if you wish. Good way to spend an afternoon with the family.

The zoo was easy to navigate. It was cute and smaller than other zoos. The staff was friendly and the animals were closer than other zoos. There is a feeding/petting zoo that was fun. But the feeding of the giraffes was AMAZING!!! Family fun. It was great.

Our family really likes visiting this small zoo. It isn't as large as the KC zoo or St Louis zoo, but that's fine. Its great because the family can see everything in a day trip there. In the summer the little ones love the children's water play area and the cool misting showers. They also really enjoy the animal sculptures.... More

This zoo was so much fun! It was really up close and personal and since they had just held their big Halloween event, it really wasn’t crowded at all, which was a total bonus when visiting with a small child. It was reasonably priced and the exhibits were well-maintained and the animals were in full view, and they have a... More

For a small zoo this one has a lot to offer. Our favorites are the train ride around the pond, feeding the giraffes and the petting zoo area. There is a nice concession area with covered seating and a fun play structure/play ground area for the kids. Great place to visit when the weather is nice out! They also offer... More

This zoo is a gem. The small size makes it easy to cover with young children, and the facilities are nice and up to date. Gift shop and playground, cafe for lunch and snacks. Plenty to do and see. You can feed the giraffes, a big hit. Nice elephant area. When my granddaughter was 3, 4 and 5, I would... More
