The Nature Center is a very pleasant place to take a stroll, where the deer know they aren't going to be hunted, so wander close to the paths and stare at you as the novelty there. Inside the Center building are many displays (mostly interactive)relating to the geology, topography, flora, and fauna of the Ozarks. It's a great place to... More

This is a must see and do destination. Educational, plus hands on, and the nature trails take a person through many different areas. Great family fun area.

Great place to view wildlife and learn about different species and a great place to get some good exercise. I go to this location multiple times per year to walk. I always see turkey, white tail deer, squirrels, chipmunks, and multiple species of birds. Great for kids and adults the same.

I have visited this location a few times this year, and I enjoy it every time. The bird viewing area is the best. I like that it has the bird sounds piped into the building. We find turkeys, chickadees, finches, sparrows, titmouse, downy woodpeckers, and so many more. Short trails are available, and the exhibits are very good.

Great place for a hike and viewing nature. We have date night with a picnic dinner every so often here. After dinner go for a walk and enjoy the nature.

So close to town yet feels secluded. Highly recommend for a stroll with kids or more vigorous hilly hike. Trails have been renovated and what a great way to escape with nature.

This is a very popular location in Springfield, MO. The nature center building is fairly interesting. The hiking trails are excellent; short and long hiking trails are availble and clearly marked.
