Nice little Zoo & friendly people. There are some inclined so have good walking shoes on. The children loved the petting zoo where they were able to purchase food to feed the animals

Great place to take the kids. I went with two friends and we used both the long and short route. We were even able to see a few deer resting

While I enjoy walking the well-maintained trails, the building is a great place for preschool kids through elementary-- they can enjoy the nature displays and wildlife viewing area rain or shine. The staff also offers good educational presentations with crafts-- free but call in advance for a schedule and to register. This is my go-to place when weather precludes going... More

From the snapping turtles to the hikes to the indoor wildlife we loved it! There was so much to see. We enjoyed hiking (I use the term loosely since my 3 year old could walk in flip flops) down to the creek and watching the ducks. It was neat to see the different snakes and animals inside the visitor center.... More

Early mornings or evenings is the best more of the deer and turkeys visible. There are several trails and all of them have a very scenic view and great for walking, hiking, or even running. Location and access is great and great for all ages.

My family and I have been going to 'The Nature Center' for 20 years. It is a lovely outdoor retreat; a place to escape busy 'city life' and return to nature (not that it's hard to do that living in the Ozarks). We love hiking the trails and especially spending time down on the water. But the hills are also... More
