Outstanding park.

Walked 4 feet from a doe and her 2 fawns. Great turtle exhibit. Birdwatchers paradise. Very well maintained, nearly the entire trail is boardwalked or covered in

All sorts of activities for children that the adults love also..It is a nature center and more.......hooking up the bike trails in the lower valley and around the way is Lake Springfield. Then Lake Springfield park and viewing center. This migration of water fowl and butterflies during the season are amazing.

My family and I love hiking and there were some great trails at this nature center. We really enjoyed our time walking the trails. They also had a nice welcome center and showed a lot about the different animals that were located in Missouri.

The nature center was really great for our family (six kids, 5-15). There was a lot to see and touch and it was great. The workers there was incredible, so full of ideas and information that they were very willing to share. We walked the longest of the trails which took just over an hour. We saw frogs and birds... My family and I came here while we didn't have a basketball game to attend and loved the place. The trails were wonderful and my kids loved running up and down them about a billion times.

We love to walk on the trails at the Nature Center. You can always see squirrels, and we have always seen at least a few deer. You can get within a few feet of most of the animals almost always as they are used to the public and the pathways are rustic but well cared for so you feel like... More

This is my favorite walking trail in Springfield. It's tree covered and has a nice, clear trail. It's just long enough to feel like I've gotten a good workout but not too long to feel like I should have packed a bag. There are designated running hours which is nice. However, a lot of people don't respect the set hours... More
