I admit, I had no idea Springfield had an art museum. I was checking out the park next to it and went in on a whim. It's free, it's good good variety, and when I went in June of 2014 it had a juried water color competition on exhibit that had some lovely pieces. They also have some sketches by... More

This museum is sleepy and quiet, but it can be much better than large, crowded museums. The museum also has local art and chidren's art that rotates.

I grew up in Spfld and we spent spring break visiting family. When I was young, I had my artwork displayed in some of the yearly 'all school exhibitions' and knew my 10 y/o son would enjoy seeing other kid's artwork. Additionally, we love animals, so having Audubon's exhibit was a great draw. Since I was here many years ago,... More

If you like Art Museum you might enjoy this small museum. I wasn't impressed..but that is just me. I'm not a fan of art museums. There just wasn't much to see ..

This museum was wonderful to see. Took my granddaughter to see all the art. Didn't know about this place until I read reviews on here. I was glad that we got to go and see.

This looks like a little place in an odd location. I went there with my son and his girlfriend for the watercolor show. It was great and far more rooms than I thought would be packed in there.

I don't think the city of Springfield has ever been too interested in the arts (though I have noticed an upswing in the past few years). That being said, this is as to be expected for what Springfield offers. To start with, it is very small and generally void of people. I don't mind that, as I like to view... More

First time I have seen the Watercolor USA exhibit in over 25 years. It was fun to see and there were many excellent works. However, I suffer from migraines from multiple triggers and the museum made me suddenly quite ill. I had to leave the exhibit area.

This art museum is pretty decent for the small town of Springfield. Its free so it's nice to browse through once in awhile. I really enjoy the high school and elementary school exhibits when they come around.
