When in Springfield visiting my daughter, I try to visit NG every day for walking and relaxing. I'm from the Southwest and we don't have the same type of plants in our gardens, nor do our lawns or trees ever get that lush..

I love going to this park to walk around the lake, view the fabulous flower beds and just relax. There is so much to see and do at this park. I always bring my out of town guests here. I think it is one of Springfield's main attractions!

We arranged a group tour, and were taken on a 90 minute tour of all the gardens in the park except the Japanese Stroll Garden, which is adjacent. Beautiful gardens, wonderful commentary by an expert guide. Th gift shop was a delightful addition to the tour.

Nathanael Greene is my favorite park in Springfield. There is lots to do either on a date, with friends, or with family. There are many activities to do and conservation news.
