I read about this museum in the Springfield Magazine in my hotel room. I'm a huge fan of military memorabilia. There was a pretty good amount of things to see, fairly well arranged. I actually drove past this place several times before I realized it's in a stripe mall. Nice time, I recommend it.

This is probably not where you would expect to see a very interesting collection of military memorabilia, uniforms, dioramas, vehicles and a Cobra helicopter. This museum is small and easy to take your time to view the displays. As I understand it, the staff are all volunteers, former military veterans. Their historical stories and personal anecdotes add a rich dimension... More

From the outside it doesn't look like much , but walk thru the door and history comes to life !! They have a great staff that will answer questions (and make you a set of dog tags!) !! Trucks and jeeps and planes , oh my !!! They are doing a great job !! My only concern is why the... More

Thank you SO MUCH for the great review. We feel the same way about getting help from Springfield. We only run on donations and the money we make from guests coming in and paying for admission. All volunteers keep all trucks, jeeps, etc. running and man the museum. We would love to have a bigger and better location, all it... More

Very informative and lots to take in. The staff was friendly and have a lot of knowledge on everything in the building. Very nice to see them preserve history.

Janet thank you for your visit. We enjoy keeping history going, people need to learn from it. We hope you will come back and maybe become a member. Most of us are veterans but we do have some that just love history. All vehicles are kept running, it takes quite a bit of work for that. Again, thank you for... More

Very small, but crammed full of items. Best of all, they let you climb into a helicopter, jet trainer, and a Jeep. It is located in a strip mall. The folks that staff the place seem to all be vets and are very helpful. Well worth the $5 per adult. No cards accepted, cash only.

This museum is a very informal place. It is run by volunteers, most have served. They have lots of cool models, restorations, and items from around the world. If you go, make sure to check out the back. That is where they keep all of the big stuff. This place does accept donations. I highly recommend giving to them. It... More

Great artifacts and very knowledgeable guides...particularly enjoyed that the kids could actually touch and sit in some of the vehicles. If you pull into the parking lot, you have to go in!! Well worth the time!

Thank you for your visit, we are trully glad your children enjoyed touching and getting a feel of our items. We love to educate everyone who walks into the door. We do birthday parties for the children too - dog tags come with the party so they have something to go home with. Thanks so much for your review, please... More

Don't let the street view fool you! For a dot on the map, this is a very interesting piece of our military history & would recommend anyone interested in American military history to stop! Not sure I would say that young kids would find it very interesting but they do have a few interactive things they might enjoy. The volunteer... More

Thank you for your visit, we are happy you had a good time. We try to keep history alive. Take a look at us on FACEBOOK. Our outside is alot better then it was, we may be small but we try hard to keep all vehicles running and items on display. Thank you again and please come back. More

Don't let the tiny little unassuming exterior keep you from stopping. It's in a little stripmall that you have to keep an eye out for or you'll pass right by it! Be mindful of the hours though; they're not open every day!! We almost missed out on a truly wonderful experience. They have artifacts and history from WWI - Gulf... More

We are thankful for your visit. Please come back anytime. We get very busy around Veteran's Day, we try to get all the vehicles you saw running for the Springfield parade. Glad you enjoyed everything you saw. Our volunteer Ron who keeps everything going is trully amazing. We can be missed, that is why we painted the roof. We wish... More
