This small museum sits in a strip mall. When you pull in, you wonder if it's worth stopping for. It is. Inside there are many displays. Quite a few are "hands on". Especially fun for the kids. There are communication machines for them to try out, and a flight simulator. The back room has trucks, ambulances, helicopters, etc. The "vets"... More

This place has a lot to see! I took four little ones and they enjoyed it as well. I've already had to promise a return visit. We will be back!

This museum doesn't look like much from the outside, but has lots of interesting exhibits inside. The grandkids were able to sit in a real jet fighter, helicopter, and jeep. Lots of history here, run by knowledgeable volunteers. Worth the visit!

For being in a strip mall, this somewhat small non profit was fun and the staff was very nice to our 7 year old. They even let them sit in the helicopter and plane

Thank you for visiting our Museum, we are very proud you took the time out to see what we have to offer. We love having children have hands-on with some of the displays. Please come back to see us again. We do birthday parties for children also. Everyone gets a tour and dogtags. It's a really fun thing for them... More

Don't let the looks of this place discourage you. It is in a strip mall and not impressive at all on the outside. On the inside, however, it is excellent with lots to look at. The volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly. They have some pretty cool exhibits including pieces of a plane that crashed in France in WWII and... More

Thank you for coming to the Museum - we are working on the outside of the building and realize it is NOT the best looking. We are run by volunteers and money from admissions and donations. At times it is very hard. We truly hope you enjoyed your visit and viewing the history we have in our Museum. THANK YOU... More

Very understated from the outside, this museum will surprise you. In a older strip mall along the old highway 66 on the Northeast side of Springfield, it definitely doesn't present a good first impression. But if you have been in the Military and want to revive some memories, or want to show you kids or grand-kids what past life in... More

Thank you for your review, we are trying to up date the outside - since we are all volunteers it is hard to do. We are always looking for some new blood to join us at monthly meetings and activities. We are so glad you visited with us. I was in the 250th Sig Bn NJARNG. THANK YOU. More

First impressions don't do justice. We almost turned around as soon as we walked in, but glad we didn't. The volunteers where very knowledgeable, and my son was so intrigued. The authentic dog tag was awesome, the vehicles were outstanding. We would go again in a heartbeat.

Smaller, all-volunteer operated museum. Great collection of "most" of the military conflicts the US forces were involved. Good side-trip when you're in the Southwest (Springfield) MO area, practically right-on I-44 highway. Much to read, if you have more time. Hands-on was a real plus, AND you can enter most of the vehicles, with permission, getting "the real feel" of our... More

Amazing how many different types of aircraft and military relics they have here. Even if you are not a pilot or veteran I think you will find this a very interesting stop when in the area.
