When we visit Branson we take the extra trip to go to Bass Pro in Springfield. My 5 year old son loves this place and would stay in there all day if we would let him. There is so much to look at beyond the merchandise they have for sell. The newly opened gun museum is extremely impressive too!

I have been in several Bass Pro Shops, but this one is huge! Beautiful taxidermy and art, several aquariums and in floor “ponds” full of fish, and even live alligators. The NRA museum is full of firearms history and is a must see. The archery hall of fame is full of historical artifacts from archer greats. Indoor range and a... More

Took the detour traveling from Branson to Kansas City, it was well worth the 5 or so hours we lost track of checking it out. Before you go into the main store, I highly recommend stopping by their catalog return store next door for massive savings and sales. We ate at the main restaurant which had great food, and got... Spent couple hours getting lost in this huge place going through the numerous departments, checking out the impressive and cool exhibitions, let alone visiting the NRA museum, Overall, worth the trip to check out this place, take pictures and have a good time.

From the different Bass Pro's that I have visited, I would have to say that this one is the best. It also is the headquarters of them all. Your kids will have fun just looking at all the wildlife. Don't forget to bring the camera, you will need it.
