If you ever come to Springfield, you have to make time for a visit to Bass Pro Shops. They have everything you need for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, golf and more. The archery and gun museum that recently opened is incredible and free to visit. Hemingway's restaurant offers a great variety of seafood, steaks and a terrific and affordable weekend... More

We are fortunate to work at the Parkcrest Center which is less than 10 minutes down the street from Bass Pro. We are able to go to all the major events and sales yet drop in for a trailer tail light bulb, fishing lure, shot gun shells or boots. For the first time visitor their vast selection is a little... I always bring my out of town visitors here for an inexpensive day of fun. The museum isnt open yet but can't wait, it looks like it will be fun. The athmosphere is awesome and the kids love the fish.

Bass Pro is huge, sprawling, and always growing and changing. Locals go there to buy sporting goods and clothing. There is a large gun department, fishing gear and boats, running shoes and clothing. Logo clothing and items are scattered down the aisles on kiosks. There are lots of specials and sales. Exibits of taxidermy, and aquariums are scattered all over... More

The world headquarters of Bass Pro Shops is consistently voted one of the best free things to do in Springfield. People come from miles away to see it. Whether you're a outdoors person or not, there's something for everyone. Hemmingways restaurant has great food and their breakfast buffet is a real value.

Although there are now Bass Pro stores throughout the USA, the Springfield store remains the largest. The store contains a huge variety of sporting goods and clothing. You will find both mounted and live wildlife exhibits throughout the store that are worth the trip if you are not in the mood to shop.

Visitors to Springfield have been overheard saying, "We've got a Bass Pro back home; why bother?" Because your local Bass Pro is not the same as the one in Springfield! New last year is the N.R.A. Gun Museum; the National Archery Museum, plus tons of shopping for the ladies, and not just clothing but home & cabin decorations, specialty foods... More

The only thing i go to Bass Pro for (as a local) are their huge shoe selection, the amazing beef jerky they sale (maple bacon jerky our fave), and last but not least to have Sunday brunch at Hemingway's! Best buffet in Springfield period, but a bit pricey so be prepared for your wallet to take a hit, but well... More

A great place to shop and spend time with the family. The NRA museum is worth spending several hours---well done.

This is the original Bass Pro and one of the largest, with close to 4 million visitors a year. New this past year is the NRA gun museum one of only two in the country. I have been twice they let you take pictures and best of all it's free. You will find you can spend hours there and if... More
