On the "Ten Greatest Streets in America" list! Restaurants, shopping, arts & entertainment, galleries, luxury boutique hotel, funky shops of all kinds, lunch spots and nightlife central all rolled into one! While strolling through it all, don't forget to look down: St. Louis' Walk of Fame features bronze stars embedded in the sidewalk with plaques commemorating the accomplishments of famous... More

When I visit my daughter at WUStL, we always go to the Loop. It offers the spectrum in shopping and restaurant choices! I also love the fact that it isn't strictly for students. You see lots of families enjoying the area.

The loop is where it all happens. Near the university and has many great restaurants and shops providing the local flavor. Suggest a visit during daylight if you're not familiar with the area. Area attracts a lot of people that walk just around discovering what is available.

There are stars in the sidewalks dedicated to St. Louis born/raised celebrities. Lots of food choices, many ethnic restaurants (Viet Namese, Ethiopian, Italian, etc.) The shops are on the eclectic side. Suggest, if you do not know the area, to go during daylight.

If you're looking for great local restaurants and shops, then head to the Loop. Despite a few chain restaurants, there is a variety of local restaurants to choose from. We ate at Blueberry Hill, which has a great rock and roll and pop culture decor with a typical American fare menu. Good food. We stopped at few shops includes Blick's... More

I was expecting tons of neat shops and restaurants. I'm not sure the average person would hit these shops but the restaurants look promising. Not sure I'd go there without a local though. It is a fairly busy area that should feel safe. However, it seems like there are people just hanging around there watching/following people for trouble. I went... More

With such gems as The Tivoli this could be a wonderful eclectic area to wind down in but parking and car safety are a major issue and at night safety and being hassled make it a real turn off. Visit during the day and then head out.

There is a lot to see, eat, drink, & do on this street. Come hungry & thirsty and make lots of stops. It's a great walk. Many establishments have outside seating so if the weather is nice it's a hopping place to be.

This area has it all.....restaurants, brewery, entertainment, shopping galore. Try the Rocket Fizz, Fitz's, the Pagent, Blueberry Hill, the walk of fame, The Moonrise hotel..You might catch Chuck Berry or Nelly.
