Love all the of unique pavilions, open spaces (where there is usually a game of adult dodge ball going on!) and flowering trees. The music pavilion with the busts of famous composers is really cool, but my favorite area is the ruin and Palm House. Very cool for a romantic stroll, and we also sometimes let our dog run off... We played a couple rounds of ultimate frisbee here. Easy to find a spot. Except that there are some pretty big holes from old tree stumps that pose ankle problems. But a really pretty park. Amazing trees. Nice open spaces, fountains, etc.

A wonderful place to spend a day with a picnic lunch and a kite, if the winds are right. Bring your ball and glove and play catch also. Great trees also

Wonderful free concerts for young children on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 during the summer in Piper Palm House. Only lasted about 45 minutes which was perfect for our preschool age grandchildren. A visit to the playground and fountain & jets pool topped off a fun (and free) morning. Best to use the restrooms at the Palm House before heading to... More

This is in an area that has a large cultural variety in Saint Louis. Not far from downtown, and not far from the garden, other parks, museums, shopping and more. There are many statues, sculptures, and other surprises that can be found in this nice park in a nice area of town. Definitely worth a stop if the schedule allows.

From fountains to interesting buildings, gardens to sculptures, there is something interesting around every corner. I spent some quiet time reading and enjoying the beauty. Just another one of St. Louis' lovely parks.

When I lived in St. Louis I enjoyed concerts in the band shell, weddings in the gardens and biking all over. Tennis, softball, trees, gazebos, picnic areas - it's huge and wonderful.

for a city park - lots of parking, tip top maintenance and a lot to see. A big surprise and a good one.

There is a fairly enormous park in the middle of St. Louis, and it has a great little road going through it, with shelters and gazebos along the road. It can accommodate a lot of people without feeling crowded. Also, there is Cafe Madeline on the grounds of the park, with a great upscale buffet in a historic greenhouse building.

Although Tower Grove Park is a great park with a lot of playing fields and places to walk, during the spring and summer they have a farmers market on Saturdays with some local farmers and business selling their produce and products. Another nice feature is the food trucks, which make for a nice breakfast.
