Compared to Forest Park, this is not a large park. Then again, compared to Forest Park, no urban park in the US is large. Still, it is an inviting park to stroll in, to eat a picnic lunch, to watch other people. A relaxing setting in the middle of the city.

This is a beautiful park with some sculptures, pavilions and a lot of benches and trees. You can reach it from the gateway arch/downtown area by bus #30.

There is no park in the country quite like Tower Grove. I grew up near it and it served as my playground in the 1960s. After living away for many years, I returned to the neighborhood mainly for the chance to enjoy the park again, in the full glory of its renovation and the excellent care it now receives from... It's a beautiful and well kept park. You can see that many people enjoy it. It appears to be a popular place for parties and gatherings. The wedding area was fun for the casual reception that they had. Only drawback is restrooms....too far away from where we were.

I recently visited Tower Grove Park on a weekday in the late morning. I didn't expect such a wonderful park! The first thing I noticed were the pavilions. They are much different than those you see in most parks -- really well maintained and painted bright colors with each one different from the others. Then there are the ruins. Then... More

Driving or strolling through this city park is for any one or family. Gazebos grace the park as do paths for running, biking or pushing a baby cart. This sweet old neighborhood park near the Botanical Garden adorned with the history of St Louis is a wonderful respite in the world of BZ!

We attend family reunions at Tower Grove Park every 3 years. It is beautifully maintained and has many festivals throughout the year. St. Louis has many places for the visitor to explore and this should be on the list!

Growing up 6 blocks from this park, my childhood summers were spent there in the playground and at picnics....the park was given to the city by entrepreneur Henry Shaw and landscaped as a Victorian garden including ruins on the Lily Pond. The park includes many gazebos and a bandstand where concerts are played on Monday evenings in the summer. Many... More
