We attend family reunions at Tower Grove Park every 3 years. It is beautifully maintained and has many festivals throughout the year. St. Louis has many places for the visitor to explore and this should be on the list!

Growing up 6 blocks from this park, my childhood summers were spent there in the playground and at picnics....the park was given to the city by entrepreneur Henry Shaw and landscaped as a Victorian garden including ruins on the Lily Pond. The park includes many gazebos and a bandstand where concerts are played on Monday evenings in the summer. Many... More

It is an urban park, though the shelters are very nicely refurbished Victorian style architecture, which looks pretty cool. Big huge trees, but just a city park.

We spent a misty Saturday morning wondering through the park, shopping at the farmer's market and listening to some lovely music by some local musicians. Felt safe the whole time and had a great time.

Beautiful area to visit. Well maintained. Busy but certainly worth walking around and enjoying the surrounding areas. Take a picnic lunch and or just go sit by one of the many fountains and read a book.

Henry Shaw donated land to the City of St. Louis for the purpose of a park. It is located very near the Missouri Botanical Gardens which is another Shaw legacy. I have lived very close to both of these properties and have enjoyed going to them to get away from life to relax.

Just had my family reunion there this weekend. Perfect park with plenty of mature trees for shade. The pavilion are large and spacious with plenty of picnic tables. A road runs through the park allowing easier access. There were elderly in our group, and the walk was still a bit distant for them from their vehicles, but here were no... More
