My husband and I visited this museum in June 2014. It sits below the Arch. The best part about this museum is that it is run by the National Park Service so it is FREE! There is an interesting display of gold medallions throughout American history (special large coins minted to be given out to dignitaries or to commemorate historical... More

The wait to go to the top of the Arch can be long. Go early or order your tickets online! We got there right at 8:00AM and were able to get tickets for the 8:20 tram. Another bonus of going early, there haven't been many trams before you, so it's not as crowded once you get to the top. Personally,... More

Solid museum but lacking some of the technology things found at our other museum stops on the trip. Maybe time to rethink how information gets distributed. It is a lot of stand and read.

Beautiful grounds and location, but they could take a lesson from Disney and get better organized! Awful long wait, extremely crowded at top of Arch! Not really worth it, especially if you have young kids!

If you go, do not miss the Lewis and Clark movie. There were only my husband and I and one other person in the entire theater, which was so sad because the movie was fantastic. The entire museum is beautiful and informative. I learned a lot!

Please note, this review is based on our visit, last August. There is currently contruction at the Arch, so there may be changes not mentioned below. Our group of nine (5 adults - 4 children) visited the St Louis last summer, and had a marvelous time! I visted the Arch when I was a child, and wanted our children to... More

Go the museum, explore the grounds, and by ALL MEANS, go to the top of the arch! Yes it can be crowded and the wait can be long, but the view from the top and the rude up cannot be described. The grounds are under quite a bit of construction at the edges, but the arch is in full glory... More
