This is seriously the best frozen custard ever! Our whole family loved it. There has been a line both times we have went. But well worth the wait!!!

Ted Drew opened his Chippewa Frozen Custard Stand in 1941. I wasn't able to get there until I had my driver's license in 1960. Even though I've long moved from St. Louis, family and I return for Drew's frozen custard every chance we get. (Twice this weekend!) Drew's is a reminder of simpler times. A tip of the hat to... My first experience to Ted Drew's was over 20 years ago. I was blown away. Tastes like gourmet ice cream. The lines are long in the summer, but lines in the winter with snow and ice in the parking lot? Wow, then it must be good. Oh yes! There are so many flavors, I recommend you go with your gut... More

After one month travelling around the States, this is the flavour I most remember. When it is well below freezing outside and a frozen custard place has a long queue, you know that you are on to a winner. The taste of my lime-pie concrete was natural and delicious. Well worth a detour if not a major excursion; a must... More

Too many delicious treats to choose from! Crowded, fun, STL gathering place. Enjoyed by young and old all year. Love this place. Best custard in the USA!♥

Ted Drew's is a must if you come to St. Louis city on old Route 66. I have been to many frozen custard joints but none compared to Mr. Drew's frozen custard. There are no words to describe the smooth creamy taste of this custard and no matter how many things they put on the frozen custard is the best... More

What a treat. Not sure why they only have one of these, but you must try it. There are many, many different combinations you can get. Since this was our first time we got something rather simple, the Lemon Custard with Graham Crackers chunks. Out of the world delicious. Always long lines but they serve up very quickly. A must... The small original Ted Drews takes you back to a different era and reminds us of how great the simple things in life are. We had to try the concrete (a super thick malt) in many flavors and all were great. My buddy had his kids and bought 3 flavors for them to try and they are still talking about... More

It's just great custard at a decent price. It's always busy but they don't make you wait long. A great St. Louis tradition

So its a blazing hot day in St Louis and you are about to overheat. What do you do? Here is what I would do. Drive over to Ted Drew's and get some of the tastiest and coolest frozen custard to ever tickle your taste buds. I am a Route 66 nut and a touring musician. You can not go... More
