Giant - really giant cemetery. Looks like people all over St. Louis are just dying to get in... This town has more churches and cemeteries that any city I've ever seen!

I'd love to go back and do some of the their other tours. We were visiting St. Louis for the US Grant Symposium and this was one event offered. We were almost too late due to a misunderstanding on my part. We received some great information about people who served in or were part of the civil war era in... More

With the printed material, we found many interesting sites of famous military, St Louis citizens. The material also provided interesting facts about the ones resting there.

I visited the cemetery on a snowy February day. The roads in the cemetery were not plowed and were slick in places but with all-wheel drive it was fine. The cemetery was a creepy winter wonderland. The mausoleums were beautiful and it was hard not to get out of the car and peer into every one. That would take days... More

This might not be your first choice for a lesson in history, but this cemetery has a lot of St Louis history. Lots of significant tombs and historical figures, it's a beautiful park.

Not in the best area. Go early - don't linger too long. Stay in your car and visit the historic graves. Be sure to go during the early part of the day

Lots of history here, many famous people are buried here, including William Clark of Lewis and Clark and too many others to name. Read up on the graves before you go or arrange for a tour. I'm not a graveyard kind of person, but this was a really fascinating place!
