A lot of places to eat and grab coffee. Nice architecture in the surrounding area. Not as much shopping as we would liked to have seen. We'll be back to visit Tortilliaria on our next strip for sure.

While this is a neat place and looks nice, it is white washed. There is a ton of crime here among the beautiful houses and great restaurants. The Metro Link station here has one of the highest crime rates of all the stops. This is however a neat place to go during the day time.

The Central West End neighborhood has some beautiful old homes, some of which have been converted to townhomes. We went to Crepes Etc on Maryland Plaza for a late breakfast and then decided to walk through the area. On the north side of Maryland Plaza across from Crepes Etc and Scape Bistro are the Maryland Plaza Townhomes. If you walk... More

We had heard that this was a trendy place for restaurants and shopping. We found very few shops and they had expensive clothes. There is a variety of different restaurants in the area. We ate at Gringo and probably wouldn't return. The service was great but the food was not. There are some beautiful older brick homes in the area.... More

We visited the Central West End during a very very cold spell. My wife and I were not able to completely absorb the whole neighborhood. The Christmas decorations were beautiful, the streets were clean, well lit and safe. The choices of restaurants here is amazing! We plan on coming back here in the summer and enjoying everything the neighborhood has... More

We had not been to the central west end in a little while due to some crime in the area last spring/summer. This community is very strong and thriving and we had lunch there the weekend of the 17th and just had a wonderful time. With Forest Park to the West and just beautiful tree's, cute corner coffee shops like... More

This appears to be a great place for singles and young couples to hang out, with lots of restaurants, plus vibrant life on the streets!
