We love the Saint Louis Symphony. There is no better way to spend an evening in St Louis. Visit their website, choose a concert that meets your liking, have them mail the tickets to your door, arrive early to have a drink and enjoy the lobby, then sit back, close your eyes and let the music take you to your... It's always a treat to attend a show at Powell Hall. The orchestra is top notch, and the aesthetics of the building only add to the performance. The only negative is high ticket pricing, making it difficult for many to attend shows;

It actually has been a long time since we've been to the symphony but it is so wonderful. If you love good music this is the place to go. One of my greatest memories as a child was every year our grade school took us to the symphony one day. We would guess what instrument we heard. It was a... More

Having lived a few places I still think Powell Symphony Hall with it's outstanding old, elegant architecture & the St. Louis Symphony is one of the finest ways to spend an evening or weekend afternoon.

I went here with my fiance. We went to Carmina Burana O Fortuna. I have three word to describe my experience. Its Mind Blowing. Make time for this, you wont regret it unless you have a snoring person next to you.

The SLSO is one of the top rated orchestras in the country. I am constantly blown away by their performances. I also enjoy the themed nights: The Music of John Williams and Disney songs. The direction of David Roberts has a lot to do with the success of the orchestra. I always look forward to the start of a new... More

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is literally world-renowned. They have travelled to Russia and performed in Boston and NYC to the delight of even the snobbiest wasps, but here in their home-town, we get a St. Louis price for a New York experience. I'd really recommend one of their 4-5 movie experiences. Watching Fantasia or Bugs Bunny on a screen... More

The last time I visited the orchestra had a new conductor who wasn't sure where he'd landed. This was funny as Forest Park was the arena, not the Powell Symphony Hall. The conductor was amazed at the turn-out in the natural hill arena in front of the art museum facing the lake and golf course. Despite the rain, the park... More

The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra (SLSO) is among the best orchestras in the world---and they are recognized for their excellence, choices of music, musicians, and the current Music Director, David Robertson. Enough cannot be said about the level of music we enjoy in Saint Louis. And the SLSO now has plenty of options for attending a variety of concerts so... More
