Have enjoyed visiting Powell Hall in the Grand Arts District for over a decade to hear the SLSO perform classical, pops, & holiday music. In fact, I have them to, in part at least, thank for my love of classical music, as one of the first performances I attended was Mahler 2, truly one of the most stirring pieces of... More

Beautiful venue, wonderful sound, fantastic performers! My husband and I have season passes and go at least six times a year. It is a great way to spend the evening. They do a good job with a variety of music - something for everyone

We returned last week to an incredibly beautiful program at the Saint Louis Symphony. Beethoven's Emperor Concerto masterfully played by Louis Lorte. And Bartok's Concerto for orchestra blew everyone away.

I just took my family to the symphony for the Fantasia program. It was fantastic! They had a large screen which projected parts of the Disney's original and Fantasia 2000 movies. Very nice evening.

We are so lucky to have one of the best symphonys in the country…and a fabulous conductor who is very innovative and involved with community events.

I've been covering the SLSO for some years now as the senior performing arts critic for a local radio station (viz. http://kdhx.org/play/chuck-lavazzi) and have rare seen a concert here that wasn't impressive. Maestro David Robertson has a good feel for what makes a balanced program and he clearly has an excellent relationship with the orchestra. Internationally known guest conductors and... More

Unlike many city symphony orchestras there are no bad seats in the auditorium, there are no bad areas for the acoustics. You can often get good tickets on very short notice. I have listened to Symphonies all around the globe and can definitely say that Powell Hall {facility} as well as the St. Louis Symphony are in the top 2... More

World class orchestra, good tickets available even on short-notice. Wonderful acoustics. It is clear that music director/conductor Robertson wants every member of audience to enjoy every performance.
