i am born and raised in STL and hands down this is my favorite place to be. I wish admission wasn't so expensive but the fun and excitement is well worth it!! I love the make believe town and how it incorporates critical thinking and science into many of their exhibits. It truly is a place where you can be... More

The entry price was very high for not much to do. I remember going as a kid and it was much smaller but much more interactive and fun. The original house is in need of serious repair & cleaning. The stairwell smelled of urine, which I'm sure was a child that couldn't make it back down the stairs to the... More

We visited a few weeks ago, on 7/12/14, with high hopes. It was a total letdown. For $10/person, I expect to be wowed; I wasn't and neither was my 7-year-old daughter. First, it was filthy. Everything, everywhere. Years of deep, untouched grime. Yuck. Secondly, the highly-publicized attraction--the Van de Graaff generator--costs EXTRA. Thirdly, many rooms were simply "imagination" rooms. If... More

Both my almost 2 year old and my 8 year old had a blast. I really didn't expect this to be as big as it was. We had to actually pull them out of rooms to move on to the next one to make it through the whole thing in 1 day. If we lived in the area I would... More

The magic house was a nice surprise. Our kids enjoyed the kid town and played for hours in this one area. They also enjoyed the art and craft rooms. There is a lot to do and see. It costs $10 for each person, adult and child, but it is a lot of value. Very interactive and educational but also fun.... More

Our 2 year old is obsessed with Sid the Science Kid, so when we learned that Magic House had this exhibit we planned our spring break trip to St. Louis. Everything about the Magic House is well done. There is so much to see and do that we could have easily spent more than one day there. The biggest hits,... More

We took four young children here (ages 8,8,5,4). They all had a blast. In four hours here we only made it through half of the exhibits. They especially liked the make believe area where you can pretend to be anything from a doctor, vet, librarian, restaurant owner, and several other things. You cannot fully see this place in one day.... More

I have fond childhood memories from about twenty years ago. It was amazing then and now that it has grown the excellence has grown with it. My children 4 and 2 were captivated the entire time. Amazing.

We took our two year old here for the first time and it was better than advertised. We had heard from friends about the place prior to going, but I was still surprised at how much there was to do here. The variety of things is extensive and seems to hit kids of all ages. We spent two hours here... More

If you haven't been to the Magic House in a while, it is a must see. The addition of the White House rooms are amazing. There is a dining room so that if your little ones get hungry you can grab a snack. Lots of hands on displays!
