Description: Don’t take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls...
Don’t take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We’re four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there’s the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. Finally, just so you’re aware, The World Aquarium is not part of City Museum, but a non-profit located within us. There is an additional charge to go in their space.

We came with a toddler and she loved the first floor very much. Younger children area was fun for her also. We found the museum overall very chaotic and eclectic. It was pretty hot inside too at least on the first two levels. Our other child is an infant and the museum was a little tough to navigate with a... More

The City Museum is absolutly a must if your visiting St. Louis. Part art gallery part play ground, this attraction is perfect for kids of all ages. There are several different floors for various activities, for kids and adults alike.

We spent 8 hours here and would have stayed longer except we were exhausted. Kids loved it. Plan to get there early as it gets very crowded as the day goes on. What a crazy place and everything is hands on and the detail is amazing. You can climb, crawl and touch everything. The food was pricey, sandwiches were good.... More

It's difficult to describe this 10 story building of fun. Let me just say that it's incredibly creative, interactive, engaging and altogether a surprise. If you have kids under 12, go :)

My husband and I visited this museum with our 11 year old son and 17 year old nephew, we were blown away! A person could spend hours there! Never before seen things or could imagine, we all voted it was our funniest attraction the whole vacation! Can't beat the price- well worth it!!!

We had a lot of fun, but it was extremely crowded. We didn't have a map or anything, so didn't know where to go or what to do. We just sort of roamed around and did whatever my granddaughter decided she was interested in at the moment!

Amazing place, plan for all day. Best for kids 4 to 5 and up. Stay long enough to ride the Ferris wheel on the roof after dark, that's an experience in its self!!

My mom & I spent two hours here. We got there when the fist opened and I'm glad we did! The ticket agent suggested we do the rooftop area first and he was right. Well worth the extra money. By the time we came out it was getting pretty busy. We loved the rooftop and outside areas the best. Ferris... More

We live in Chicago, but once a while, we will drive down to St. Louis, just to go to the City Museum. It’s one of the kinds, it’s unique, and it’s AWESOME! In the past, we’ve been focused on the outdoor areas which have big climbing structures. This time around, we decided to focus on the indoor areas, and we... More
