If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We’re four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there’s the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. Finally, just so you’re aware, The World Aquarium is not part of City Museum, but a non-profit located within us. There is an additional charge to go in their space. « less

Simply put, this museum is for all ages. Be prepared to spend several hours here. It is a museum and it has vast array of architectural artifacts from St. Louis and the sounding area. The artifacts are presented in two ways, the traditional and incorporated into the so-called amusement area. As for the traditional way, you view what the architectural... More

Have to look to find this place in downtown St. Louis. It is an amazing place with all kinds of nooks and crannies for kids of all ages to explore. It is hard to describe just what it is. But if you have kids with you and don't go here, you are missing something special. My grand kids still talk... More

I took my five kids, ages 6-16. They were bemoaning the fact that I was dragging them to yet another museum, until we got there and they asked, "What kind of place is this?!" It's an awesome fun zone is what it is!

Kids and adults enjoyed it. Knees were sore afterwards from crawling around. Well worth the $$. Plan for 3+ hours

This museum is unlike any that I've ever seen! It has tunnels, slides, ladders, an art room, robots, a circus!!!? It's unorthodox, it's entertaining and it's unique. My fiancé had a fun time scaling the climbing areas and checking out the different exhibits. Best things to see are the human sized hamster wheel, the bank vault and the shoelace gift... More

We visited City Museum recently on a trip to the St. Louis area. We stayed for close to 5 hours while the kids explored to vast climbing and hiding areas. This is definitely a place geared towards smaller people as some of the twists and turns for climbing were a little tight, however I would recommend not bringing little kids... More

A great place to take small children, or adults who act like small children... A truly unique "museum".
