Description: Don’t take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls...
Don’t take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We’re four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there’s the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge. Finally, just so you’re aware, The World Aquarium is not part of City Museum, but a non-profit located within us. There is an additional charge to go in their space.

First time to take our 3 year old. She was a little afraid of the caves but enjoyed the slides throughout and climbing structures outside. No maps are provided. The "circus" is a one woman show of her doing hula hoop tricks, balancing acts and things. She's really talented but didn't want to spend 30 minutes watching. Plan to spend... More

Thus place is nuts!! In a good way! Bring your sense of exploration and some tylenol. The kids will love the tight spaces, slides, and whacky themes. The adults will marvel at the creativity, get the courage to crawl on your hands and knees, and appreciate just how much fun you can still have!! If you can fit through it,... More

This place is one of a kind! From the moment we walked in I was blown away by everything there is to see and do. The kids disappeared almost immediately into a tunnel, but thankfully my teen went with them. It took them 5 minutes to get back to me. We all stayed together after that. Once we started looking... had been to City Museum 5 years ago with the intent to go back ever since. it did not disappoint. Our kids (ages 113, 11 & 7) had a great time as did we. Love the different take on a museum. Wish we had time to eat there. The food options looked and smelled great. And loved the late Fri/Sat.... More

Attended a large party that took the entire space - not only could the facility easily handle 800 folks on the many floors, the food was fantastic!

I cannot explain in the words the site this place it! Many many awesome things for kids to see and do as well as adults. It is full of chaotic fun with architech you've never seen anywhere. The kids can spend an entire day and still not be ready to go. However, the staff the were rude and hardly spoke.... More

Totally different from any museum I've ever seen. We were there for 4 hours and only got to see very little of it. Tip: Wear old clothes because there are lots of slides to go down and stairs to climb. The museum is very interactive with lots of physical things to do.

The City Museum is hard to describe except to say it is wonderfully fun. This last visit, we were there with an overnight group, which was even more fun since there were fewer people at the museum than in our previous visits. It is like a huge playground with all these areas to climb in, through, over, and around. There... More

City museum is no ordinary museum. It is an action filled adventure. Each direction you turn there is something out of the ordinary to see. All They did a great job designing different kinds of hands on structures & hours of fun for all ages. The roof top playground is awesome. Where else do you get to climb in a... More

There's just no good place to start in describing this museum. Let's start with the salvaged architectural doorways and facades saved by museum founders Bob and Gail Cassilly. It takes one's breath away think that their buildings were torn down and these items would have been gone forever. Then there's the climbing areas, slides, the spinning banister posts, outside choo-choo... More
