If you are claustrophobic or don't like heights then this is not for you. You travel up one of the legs of the arch in small carriages where you can scarcely sit upright. At the top there is a small viewing platform with windows overlooking the city. You get a really good view over the city. If you lean out... More

I didn't realize this was something you could actually travel to the top of. The little tram ride was a lot of fun and felt like we were in a space pod or an enclosed ferris wheel cart. One at the top, the windows were small, but we were able to get views of the city from several vantage points... More

The Arch was great to see - it's almost breath-taking to see how big it is up close! There is a great museum beneath it as well as a couple of little shops, and you can ride to the top of the arch. I sadly did not get to take the ride due to time constraints, but definitely will if... More

I had to go to the Gateway Arch since I was already in St. Louis. It is not what I expected. It's very economical to go in. Adults were $10 and children were $5. Prepare to wait in line. After you wait you are taken in these tiny, tiny carts where only 5 people fit. The ride up the arch... More

We were just passing through St. Louis on a roadtrip, but I've never seen the arch so I wanted to take the time to experience it. I was really impressed! It's a massive structure! We went up to the top and that was interesting as well. Great views, quick tour. Overall, a must do for all those traveling through St.... More

Amazing site to see! Located close to the casino's and Stadium of the Cardinals this is a great attraction. Plan on spending 2 hours here as you will take lots of pics. I didn't have enough time to go to the top but heard it was awesome! Parking fee of $6 gets you close. A must see!!

If you are passing through St. Louis, this is a landmark you don't want to miss. You should allow about 4 hours to get tickets, walk around and go up and come down. You may be done sooner but plan for enough time. It is worth the stop.

It's funny that when you're up at the top of the arch, you can actually feel (minimal) movement when it's a windy day. The "pods" you ride up to the top in are a fun way to get to the top, since the arch is... well... an arch! Beautiful view from either side once you're up there - look at... More

My family and I took a trip to the St. Louis arch in early May. It's in a really pleasant location, close to the river and also surrounded by a nice grassy area where tourists and locals alike seemed to be enjoying the spring day and scenery. It's an interesting construction, and I didn't realize until this trip that it... More

It took me 21 years of living in STL to go up into the Arch and look down upon the city. Now everytime I have an out of town visitor it is the first thing we do. You must do this, especially if you may never make it back to STL again.
