Muni is an outdoor venue that presents musicals in the summer. It's a great experience if it isn't too warm or rainy. My husband and I saw "Hairspray" this past summer. It was an excellent performance, but the people sitting next to us had a toddler on their lap and the child bothered my husband during Tje performance.

We love to see shows at the Muny. The amphitheater is close to 100 years old and has a huge history. The talent is top notch. It's fun in the summer when it rains and the theater goers have to run for shelter wait for it to stop and come back out. The actors and stage hands continue. "The show... More

For a hot summer's evening, it was great to be able to sit back and enjoy a live theater show. Our group waited in line for the free sits in the back of the theater (which made it difficult to see - would definitely recommend binoculars). The show was spectacular and the cast and crew gave the audience a broadway... More

Only at the Muny in Forest Park can you sit outside, enjoy the night air and watch a wonderful musical. The new fans installed last year now make hot evenings cooler, the extended food menus keep your energy up if you don't make earlier reservations, and the variety of musicals keep you going back. Get season tickets...or if you want... More

I love the Muny. It is an outdoor theater that puts on Broadway shows. If you love musicals then you will love the Muny also. My daughter and I started coming years ago as a girls night out during the summer. I started taking her when she was probably 10 or so. She loves it. Then when she got older... More

My first show at the Muny was The Sound of Music about 6 years ago. All it took was ONE show for me to buy Season's tickets and I've been a subscriber ever since. For me, the Muny is more than just a show; it's an experience. It has become an integral part of my life. I wait every year... More

Very nice experience. We watched Oklahoma. Loved the breeze from the fans, which kept us comfortable. The only negatives were a bit of an immoral undertone to the play and the play not ending until after 11:00 p.m. on a weeknight!

The Muny is a venerable institution in St. Louis. The productions throughout the summer are a perfect way to spend a summer evening. We've had season tickets for years. And there is no such thing as a bad seat in the place. The new silent fans really do help on warm summer evenings. And some of the seating is free!

Took my wife to see Beauty and the Beast in August of 2015. The venue is huge, and our seats were great (though slightly expensive). They also have free seats, but I hear you need to get there very early to get them-- and they're towards the back of the venue. There are giant fans to help cool the place,... More

The Muny is the oldest and largest amphitheater in North America and is in Forest Park, which is larger than Central Park in New York. The Muny has almost 11,000 seats, of which 1,500, in the top nine rows, are free and on a "First Come" basis. It also has usher assisted wheelchair access and seating, strollers can be checked....
