Another "accidental" find on our road trip across the country. The Jesse James home,,interesting little place where you can read all about him, see the home where he was eventually killed,,,,even see the bullet hole in the wall! Next door is the Patte Museum, which has a remarkable history. Huge carousel with hand carved animals will greet you inside the... More

I loved touring this museum which is actually the home that Jesse James was shot and killed in! It was amazing how many relics there were to look at. The home, which is very small, gives you a really good idea of how people lived back then. The price for touring was very cheap.

This was on my bucket list. I was not disapointed. Check out the bullet hole in the wall and find out why it is so big, His death was considered a homicide and no reward was paid.

It's very small and full of history. It was awesome information about history. Kinda of weird that you have to pay separately for the museum it is attached to.

Great little house to see where Jesse James lived and died. Interesting artifacts as well. Definately worth the stop!

I decided to take a mini vacation to Kansas City, Mo for my 50th birthday in July.. I am a Jesse James history fan and have wanted to visit the museums. A few years ago I visited the Farm and this current trip I visited the Bank Museum in Liberty, KS and the House Museum in St Joe. I recommend... More

I moved to St Joseph so you could call me biased. I take all our out of town friends here, they all find it fascinating. Take the time to read all the articles, yes its a small house and you could walk through in less than a minute and a half and if that's what you want that is ok.... More

Was very interesting. A lot of artifacts and belongings of the James family. If you are going to the Patee Museum, then stop and see this too. It was pretty good.

My family and I visited this museum because my dad is a huge Jesse James fanatic (not his crimes but he watches TV shows about him). It turned out to be interesting for the whole family as we saw the bullet hole from the bullet that killed Jesse James, some photographs and portraits of him, an 1880's bedroom , etc.... More

This is a great stop to make if your in the area and are really into old western history. To be in the house where Jesse James once lived and was killed in is something. Its small being a two room home but great to visit. A small admission fee for some great information and great things to see. We... More
