Great for kids

Great time with grandkids. Lots for them to do and see. They enjoyed the salon and having drinks and the player .

Nice experience with the kids so they can see local history of the area where I grew up. Nicely maintained.

We have taken several family members to this location when they have come to visit. We also took some out of state friends. Every one has enjoyed it. This place is packed with a variety of items to see. I'm not sure I can even remember every item that we viewed, but it definitely has lots of historical items in... More

I thoroughly enjoyed this place and will go back. One of the best historical museums I've been too. Great displays and reading on the Pony Express. Laid out very well. Alot of interesting artifacts from a time gone by.

A collection of historical items in a variety of themes. I must have missed something because I couldn't fit it all together in my mind. Displays range from the "Streets of St, Joe's" to transportation to historical figures of the old west. It was worth the stop, but others in my group enjoyed it more than I did. Maybe I... More

I have never seen such an interesting museum. A carousel, an authentic Western bar, complete with swinging doors and sasparilla, toys, phones-an amazing assortment. We went to see the Pony Express memorabilia and stayed for a good part of the day. Something for everyone!

The layout of this museum is so interesting. Grand Ballroom, Train room, post office, and the very unusual carousel. There is more info about the Pony Express here than at the Pony Express Museum which is where the horses were stabled. Could have spent much more time reading about how history crossed through here.

So much to see & read about! Very interesting, well laid out displays. There's a search & find for the kids, which enabled the adults the time to enjoy.

This is a museum that covers then history from St. Joseph, MO. There are interesting exhibits about the Patee House itself; the Pony Express; Dr. Cronkite. There is an old steam locomotive; a beautiful carousel and so much more. Every visitor interested in history of St. Joseph must visit.

A fantastic collective of items spanning decades. Genres to appeal to all ages and interests. Some best of the old west, industrialization, interior motifs, the list is massive. Come be mesmerized by the carousel, see what a bar from and old saloon would look like..
