Enjoy seeing the motel room all set up like I remember from so many family travels.

You can't follow Route 66 without taking in this interactive museum where memorabilia is showcased and the old gas pumps look "open for business"!

Basically 2 rooms but did give some sense of yesteryear. The gift shop lady is very friendly. Unique items with many made locally.

This small museum is hidden inside the Lebanon/Laclede County library. If you are a Rt. 66 fan you need to stop and see this great display. A lot of hard work has gone into recreating scenes from the local Route, with well documented photos and articles from the 1940's and 50's. The curator, Mark Spangler is extremely knowledgeable about the... More

This museum is located in the local library (which is extremely nice!) in the middle of town on Highway 64. There is an area pertaining to Route 66 and there is a lot of interesting memorabilia. It isn't huge by any stretch of the imagination but if you are interested in the Route 66 history it is worth the stop.... More

Excellent little museum - in the same building housing the local library and a fantastic gift shop. It's free, but worth spending time discovering each and every one of their exhibits. Cool stop for a family with kids!

Like Dowd's Catfish restaurant, this place has some great advertising but is less than expected. I have a hard time qualifying the place with title of "museum." It is a typical local display--collages of advertising and photographs. Sadly, the original stuff will fade if left in the cases forever like in most small facilities. The location (the very nice local... More

While having a relatively small amount of space to work with this museum makes the most of the space with lots of interesting displays. I wish they could add to their space as I would expect they would receive lots more objects to display. It shares space with the local public library.

This is a gem not to be missed in the small town of Lebanon, Mo. Located in the Lebanon/Laclede Library and full of nostalgic Route 66 and local history.

I really liked this place. The owner was very friendly and had many interesting things to view and buy. They even have their own soda. A must stop when you are out and about.

Stopped here on return trip from visiting Arizona as a little sightseeing break. It is a very interesting museum with many exhibits featuring many scenes from bygone years and facts about historic Rt.66. Admission price is very reasonable- $5 for adults, $ 4 for seniors and children. The site also features many old building fronts with items from earlier years,... More
