Fishing was good, but there is always a ton of people there. I like to find a place where nobody else is...but that's hard to do in a trout park.

WOW, that is a lot of water pumping out of there. Driving thru a dry hot county to feel the cool moist campgrounds surrounding Bennett Spring makes you feel like your somewhere else all together. Very Nice campground and lots of fish due to the on-site hatchery. Huge Rainbows just feet away.

The campground is on the baitwater and is lacking shade. The 'fly only' section of the water is full of people throwing marabou jigs on ultralilght rods...I guess it's how you read the sign. I saw one conservation agent driving around at the stop whistle, but none checking stringers...which were full of juvenile brown trout. It's a very pretty park,...

The Park has been well maintained and improved over the years. I've visited many times since my youth 50 years ago. Newly added camping sites close to the stream are a big improvement. A day trip just to watch the fishermen and filling the lungs with the smell of the stream is something to bring back memories.
