On our last visit to Kansas City, we visited Kaleidoscope. Our kids were allowed to create a variety of crafts over a 40-minute period free of cost. My only suggestions is to either make reservations in advance or visit the place early and then visit the Hallmark Museum as you are awaiting your crafting session.

Took the kids there to kill time. It was fun arts, crafts rooms with bending light, a must on the list of places to must go in KC , the kids must be pre-teen in order to enjoy.

I was so excited to go to kaleidoscope with my sons's kindegarten class. I remember going when I was in kindergarten myself. I love that Hallmark provides such a great experience for young kids. There are all kinds of arts and crafts for kids. My favorite was puzzle-making. It is difficult to really describe what kaleidoscope is until you go.... More

This is such a fun activity for the kids and I've never taken one who was disappointed. A fun hour and if you add in a tour or Crown Center and a visit to the Hallmark Visitor Center (also free), you have a fun free afternoon.

I can't believe this was free! We visited KC for a quick family getaway. Someone mentioned we should visit Kaleidoscope with the family and we are tickled that we did. This is a whimsical acitivity/crafting center offered at Crown Center. Kids (and adults) can make cards, ornaments, puzzles, etc in a fun zone. There is a dark room where kids... More

We were in Kansas City for a wedding and searching for fun activities for the little kids. We went to Kaleidoscope at Crown Center and the kids had a blast creating all kinds of art work. The best part?...it is free!!!!!

When I was a kid, I experienced the most wonderful world when visiting Kansas City. It was called Kaleidoscope! I made my own puzzle, designed my own crafts, and had an entire magical land filled with more dreamy supplies than a kid could ever use. And.. it was FREE ! ! Many, many years later, I've directed many Kaleidoscope field... More

We took the whole family the day after Thanksgiving. This is going to become our new tradition. We took the 8 month old and his 88 year old great grandmother and all ages in between, 4 carloads full. I can't even mark all of the categories this fits because we had small children, teens, parents (30 somethings) and a pair... More
