The children are seated at the edge of the stage where they become a part of the setting .. Adults are seated in a theater setting behind them. Seating is based on first come, first serve basis. Get there early to get a good seat. Live characters in a Live performance. Children and Seniors only pay 10.00. UNBELIEVABLE!!! It really... More

The cozy theater with every seat filled "after" the Christmas and New Year's holidays, says a lot about the quality of this show. The actors/puppeteers were enthusiastic, genuine and seemed fully wrapped up in sharing this magical story with us. Their expressions, characters, humor and beautiful singing voices gave me goose bumps several times. It was so well cast!!! The... More

I happened to find this play on-line and was in Kansas City for a mini-vacation with my grandson. We went to a Friday night performance of Rudolf the red nose reindeer and we both really enjoyed it! Well done!

The Coterie Theatre is one of Kansas City's main treasures. Every single time I have visited, the plays and actors are creative and talented. One time we visited and saw "The Hungry Caterpillar". The Coterie Theatre actors and staff were amazing.

The Coterie is a hidden secret in KC this is a wonderful children theatre for ALL ages. Adults and children will enjoy the shows. Our girls are grown but we still support the theatre because it is that good.

We see several shows a year at the Coterie. Their staging and costuming is so creative! So many children's theaters skew to very young audiences.. I take my teenager and his friends regularly. A nice mix of educational and purely entertaining shows. Attending the Coterie is one of my very favorite things about living in Kansas City!

The Coterie is truly an incredible theater. Bringing a wide variety of stories to life every season, it is wonderful for all ages. It is a particularly great theater experience for children. It is an intimate theater, fitting maybe 150 people, and the actors feel within reach. There is no need to sit on Daddy's shoulders for the little ones... More
