A beautiful venue! I'll be first to admit that we aren't your typical ballet/symphony crowd, but I have always wanted to go. We recently took advantage of the Kansas City Symphony's collaboration with Ben Folds to check the place out with something that we were really interested in. Our seats were in the Mezzanine which is on the sides of... More

The building is beautiful inside and out. So much space inside made we wonder after concert, why is there only on set of stairs to the main exit. I felt like a bunch of cattle entering the cattle shoot.

We were visiting friends in Kansas City, and they generously took us to a show at the Kauffman Center. Presumably, the shows there have their own review areas, so my comments are about the facility itself, which was terrific. First, the staff was welcoming and friendly, from (convenient) parking to walking out the door. Despite the now-requisite security checks, they... More

I grew up in the area, so I was delighted when the show I was working on got to play a weekend at the Kauffman. It is one of the most beautiful facilities in the country, both inside and out. There is nothing quite like the view of the sunset against the skyline from the lobby floor to ceiling windows!

My wife and I attended a symphony concert here. There are 2 facilities in 1 building, the Helzberg Hall and the Kauffman Theater,..This Safdie designed building is only a few years young,, but it is spectacular Acoustics and viewing are excellent from any seat. Highly recommend going there if you enjoy the program that evening.

I am down rating this place because the balcony seating is highly dangerous due to the extremely low railings. I was literally terrified to sit there on the balcony because the railing is less than 18 inches high. One could easily fall over it. I am surprised there has not been a fatality yet. Older people after drinking a drink... More

My daughter and I had season ballet tickets for this past season. The experience at Kauffman Center was amazing! The KC ballet performances were fantastic. This center was truly designed for musical performances. From parking to surrounding restaurants to the people working at Kauffman; it was a great season.

The Kauffman Center is an amazing place. I've been there about six times now, and it is unbelievable. The most beautiful performing arts Center I've been to yet! The interior of each space is beautiful, the acoustics are wonderful, the seats are good no matter where you're sitting. Although leaving the facility after performance is a little bit lengthy, foot-traffic... More

We attended a December concert, well planned (culturally inclusive) and presented with attention to time concerns of audience (had us out in time for a scheduled sports event on TV). Only complaint was lack of seating while we waited for our car. People who use valet parking often have special needs.

I believe the term "world class" would be more than appropriate. The acoustics in both halls are amazing and there is not a bad seat in both. All under the same roof is Helzberg Hall where symphonies perform and the Muriel Kauffman Theatre for plays, the opera and the ballet. Go and experience the building itself. They give tours. But...
