The Kauffman Center reminds one of the Sydney Opera house, with its three triangular domes glinting in the sunlight. It is home to the Kansas City ballet, opera and symphony. It has two theaters and an attached parking garage which increases the pleasure of one's theatre going experience, as you do not have to be exposed to the elements when... More

We saw Fantasia here and it was really good but the facility is incredible! What a beautiful building. The concert hall itself looks like a large wooden boat or Ark. All curves and beautiful wood. The front is all glass with a view of downtown KC. Definitely recommend seeing a concert or other program here

Kaufmann Center is gorgeous and has amazing acoustics. They do a lot of outreach with the community and do offer free events from time to time, so be sure to check out their event schedule.

The second visit to Kauffman was just as wonderful as the first time. Parking is not a problem; the venue is breathtaking and the acoustics are astounding. It is difficult to pay attention to the artist, when the surroundings are so wonderful. Thank you Kauffman Center for being a jewel in the performance arena.

An architectural masterpiece, the Kauffman Center is a "must see" for anyone visiting KC. Sitting upon a knoll, it looks out over what used to be the prairie, and reminds the viewer of the history of the community in which it resides. There are two performance halls, one for musical performances (symphony, soloists, vocal and instrumental groups) and another for... More

This building is a true gem in the city. It is new and gorgeous! Go visit it for whatever reason and you will be amazed at it's architecture and how the symphony sounds in there. Highly recommend.

Not a bad seat in the house. We attended a concert here with the KC Symphony. I was worried about not being able to see from the mezzanine. As I sat there and looked around, I noticed the stage had a clear view from each seat. Not a bad seat within the house. The sound that resonated within these walls... More

It was certainly welcome when this building opened a few years ago. Finally had a show palace that was fit for the thriving arts scene. The KC Ballet and KC Symphony call the Kauffman Center home along with national tours of Broadway shows and many more! I've sat all over in both halls and really have yet to find a... More

We went to see the Symphony/Fantasia program. What a treat. This was our first visit to Kauffman Center. We enjoyed Fantasia set to live music. The sound was amazing and our seats were in the center section of the Grand Tier. A little high but not bad. They had volunteers everwhere to guide and help you. The ones we encountered... More

I wasn't sure if I would like the building due to its modern architecture, but I came to appreciate it after my visit. Unfortunately, visitor hours are somewhat limited -- they don't make it easy for individuals to visit outside of events. Still, if you can get a tour or allow them to let you in, it's a nice tour....
