This venue was really well designed (except for the exits, need more of them). Both theaters are beautiful and the sound quality is exquisite. I have seen both plays and orchestras. This is one of the best cultural venues in Kansas City!!

Named as one of the most beautiful music halls in the world, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts easily rivals the Sydney Opera House for majesty and grandeur. In addition the acoustics are so near to perfect that the audience can readily detect a slightly off-pitch piccolo! There are two music venues--the Helzberg Auditorium that is a subtle combination... This really is the most amazing performance center. Both the Kauffman and Helzberg venues are first class and any city would be happy to have one. Sight lines are great even from way up. I have attended music performances in the Kauffman Theater and hearing detail was never a problem. Vocal performances in Helzberg Hall are also easy to hear.... More

I was there yesterday morning to watch an instrumental master class that took part in the Symphony Hall. A quite beautiful building that is a fabulous addition to the city. The views from the lobby across the city are stunning too. I imagine it'd be a great place to hear a really good orchestra - and there are lots of... More

My friend and I went here for a symphony performance and our seats were balcony overlooking the stage. It was such a cool perspective to see the musicians from the top rather than facing them head on! I heard that there is not a 'bad seat' in the place, and I would agree. I'd definitely recommend going to a performance... More

The Kauffman Center is a nice place and all of the improved performances and additional shows have been great. The center and the people bring in shows have added a lot to this city. We needed something new to attract talent and revive the cities interest in the arts. The center has done this! It has done a great job.... More

Amazing venue with state of the art everything! Such a gift to this town, would be there nightly if I lived in KC! Gracious Midwestern hospitality with sophistication of places less welcoming and warm.

We went to see Bring It On with friends (we have season tickets to the Broadway series). While in theory, our seats should have been amazing (first balcony, to the left).. we had to turn our bodies to see the stage. We loved the atmosphere and architecture.. just wouldn't choose the same seats again.

What's not to like here, the views are amazing, staff are friendly, facility is immaculate, performance are awesome. We've gone to 3 programs all have been well worth the cost. During the Christmas season The Nutcracker ballet is awesome, we saw Stomp and Bring It On both of which were very energetic. The seats are comfortable. Definitely worth going to.

Went to see the Nutcracker with my son. Not a bad seat in the house. Very clean, parking easy, great service.
