Surprisingly nice

Very nice area for dining and some nightlife. Good restaurants, clean, friendly and safe. Definitely have to go see this area if in Kansas.

Visited this area one evening. Liked to look at all the lights on the buildings and blue lights in the trees. Many bars and resturants came alive at night!

Convenient spot downtown to go and have fun in a huge crowd of people. Went for a bachelor party on a Saturday, and ran into at least 10 bachelorette parties having a good time as well. There are several bars. Each has their own style, and dress code. Warning-- DO NOT wear a sports jersey or hat and expect to... More

The unbelievable experience began with lunch in McFadden's - great service and delicious food, enjoyed the open air seating in the "living room" area watching the Jumbo screen and listening to LIVE music. Grabbed a slice of pizza at Pizza Bar and a promo cup that had special priced refills before heading to the patio bar of Tengo Sed for... More

We have been here before 2 different concerts and had a really good time. This last time was before a Jimmy Buffett concert and the whole place was full of "parrot heads". The atmosphere was great and the band The Landsharks entertained.

We walked all around this area during our first morning in KC. There are plenty of restaurants of every type along with other entertainment. This area really rocks at night, staying open until 3AM, we were told. We enjoyed checking out all the re-purposed older buildings, many of which feature or are developing lofts. What fun it would be to... More

When in KC, visit this! Several bars, burgers, local brewed beers and restaurants besides. The place has heaters so you don't freeze in winter.

Parking was way easier than I thought it would be. Walking all around the district I felt completely safe. Very fun for young people to go out to bars, or if your looking for a cool restaurant. We sat in the middle of the district and watched the baseball game on the big screen and had a great time!
