Had a great saturday night in the Power and Light District. It was a little douchy at times, but tons of bars to choose from and overall a great time. Get there before 10 to avoid cover charge.

My wife and I came down to the Power and Light District during our night stay in KC. It was very neat to see with all the lights and entertainment in a small area. We didn't pay any cover fee (which I understand is sometimes the case). They check IDs to get in the greater area and then you can... More

This is where Kansas Citians go to watch major events and party together. We viewed the World Cup and World Series from a giant screen, it was a blast. There are plenty of free outdoor concerts on the weekends and people can overflow from the bars into the multilevel, block long, outdoor court. It's directly across from the Sprint Center... More

Almost like being there - watching the baseball games with 10,000 other people. Plenty of people watching along with the games.

Most complaints of this place are only valid to the point of what did you expect? It's a bar district and in fact a pretty well run one at that. Great lunch stop with a ton of options, but later in the night it gets a little crowded and wild.

First trip ever to Kanas City MO. My good friend and I went to see our favourite NFL teams (Chiefs & Patriots) play in the Monday Night Football game on Sept 29th. We flew in the Saturday to see Dallas Star vs St Louis Blues exhibition game. After the game we went to the Power & Lights District. It's a... More

The district is ok... just very tourist and very crowded. Had a great mexican dinner and the open courtyard was nice to watch the game but certainly not quiet. Fun place to see and I can now check this off my bucket list.

We were in for the Chiefs game. Stayed at the Hotel Philips, all of 3 blocks away. Tried the Flying Saucer bar, but that was a major disappointment (more like Flying Dishes). Walked past an entry way and spotted a ton of people in what at first seemed like a covered domed section of downtown Kansas. As it turns out,... More

My husband and I were at a concert at the sprint center and walked across the street to Power and Light afterwards. We had so much fun! There are places for anyone and everyone to hang out and have a drink or dance. Our favorite spot was the Shark Bar!
