I walk this path everyday with many others. There is a nice fountain and a few other nice areas, in the evening during summer months groups will come in and set up volleyball goals, soccer goals, etc., play their games and leave. It's very nice if you can handle the area of town that it's located in!

We stopped along J C Nichols Parkway briefly so I could get out and look at the J C Nichols Memorial Fountain for a bit. This was, of course, after spending several hours across the street at the Country Club shopping plaza. Aah, peaceful, but just where was all the official parking for this park? We couldn't find it. And... More

Nothing great or outstanding in this park. It is a nice area just off the Plaza. We have used this parks walking train, but not so much in the evenings any longer. Sometimes there are many youth hanging around in the evenings pestering others.

Lovely park on the edge of Plaza. Lots of room to walk and run with the beautiful Plaza scenery. Especially nice in spring time.

2012, in some ways was not a great year for parks as there was very little rain. At least in KC MO. But local people still love this park for soccer, running, the Mill Creek Fountain & a generally casual atmosphere. There's room to sit, some equipment for a light work-out. A favorite for frisbee, a bit of 2-man football.... More

My son has baseball games here every year. I just don't like area, the feel, I'm not sure if is the feel of the neighborhood, or what. My opinion may be a little bias, as we are always there for baseball games, and the coaches there are not very friendly, lol. There is just not much to it, as far... More

Mill Creek park is a half mile long wedge of land in the cultural heart of Kansas City between J. C. Nichols Parkway and an abandoned light rail line from 43rd St to 47th St. It's most prominent feature is Kansas City, the city of fountains' most recognizable, and most photographed J. C. Nichols fountain, a landmark at the entrance... More

A good place to stage a rally. There are often protesters with signs, showing all the passing motorists on 47th street their position on issues of the day. Not much of a destination, though, unless you need to jog or something like that. I don't think you could effectively fly a kite there.
