Fun for all ages!!

I love going to the KC Zoo. They have a variety of animals and attractions. The only downside is they are only open until 4.

We loved the zoo. The free roaming kangaroos and penguins especially. If you go spend the extra and get the gold pass for riding tram or trains - it is a large zoo and this makes it easier to get around.

Fun small zoo, up close and personal with the animals! We did not see the polar bear but the tiger was out and kangaroos. The monkeys were fun and friendly, very nice shady park!

As a Kansas City native it is a great place to visit at least once a year. You must see all the changes in the animals and the property keeping up with the latest and greatest. It certainly has the opportunity to be one of the best Kansas City family destinations. Take your walking shoes.

The zoo is clean and well managed. The inside animal enclosures are small and the animals look sad, particularly the Gorilla. His enclosure has a small glass window that you can look through and when I was there he was on the other side looking out at me. We were inches apart and his eyes told me he was lonely... More

High crime area. Zoo is not on par with similar cities of size. The animals need visitors to subsidize their care, but recommend passing this visit up.

I like seeing the zoo residents having room to roam. The day we were there, the 3 month old baby gorilla was being held close by her mother, where she laid next to the glass in an observation area, which was a real honor to see. The Penguin house is quite expansive and well designed. Oh, and the polar bears... More

One of the best zoos I've ever been to. The set up is logical. It's a big place so be ready to walk. The enclosures are more spacious and cleaner than other zoos. Great exhibits.

We visited on a Saturday and had a great time. Yes some of the exhibits are quite a walk but the tram/train options help. We were interested in the boat ride but the wind was a little too high for it during the time we were going to go on it. I loved that they gave you many options on... More
