This zoo is so big that we only hit half of it the day that we went. By the time that we were done with that part, we were so tired (still had to drive 5 hours home) and ready to get out of there. It was a very hot July day and there is a LOT of walking. This... More

What a wonderful time to visit the Zoo during the middle of winter. My grandkids had a great time seeing lots of animals out enjoying the season. Lots of zoo keeper chats in every part of the zoo. Animal feedings are great chance to see up close and take lots of pictures. The sky lift in Africa is a great... More

Be sure to take the extra time and distance to go out to the far reaches of the Africa sections... Or, pay and take the tram too. Well worth the extra distance. The Zoo has done a fabulous job on the new penguin exhibit! Check the maps and clock yourself for some show times.

Australia and Asia are closed in Winter. Cold weather rates are only $7 pp. Plenty to see still. Loved the penguin exhibit. Wished they had a better snake exhibit.

If you are in KC with family or alone this Kansas city zoo is a must must visit place. The zoo is located on a large land. They have Polar bear,Kangaroos, camels, penguins, african animals and many more. We were lucky to see a baby penguin during our visit which was a day old.

While not free like the St. Louis Zoo the parking is free and the cost to get in isn't that bad. I have to guess that the ticket lady gave me discount as I paid local price since I was solo. I can't wait to go back when the giraffe feeding station is open. The polar bear exhibit is one... More

Not in that great of an area, but then again most zoos are not. It was a nice zoo with lots of attraction too me three hours. However I am one to browse and keep going, I have no kids so no lollygagging. Its worth the trip I will be back again when its warmer and will check the weather... More

This zoo has it all.. lots of animals! the zoo layout is a little strange.. if you've never been, you will need a zoo map. Tons of walking! my kids enjoyed hand feeding the conure birds inside the walk-in cage.. saw plenty of elephants but only one gorilla.. they did hold a sea lion show while we were there but... More

Nice zoo, really enjoyed the sky tram. However, with it being so late in the year, not many animals out. The weather was beautiful on the day I went though :)

Took the grand boys to the zoo to see the penguin house. They (and we) loved it. As the zoo continues to remodel and grow, it continues to be a shining spot in Kansas City.!!!!
