I was excited to see it based on overall reviews but I would have to agree with some that it isnt anything REALLY special. The stores are different but I wouldnt say you would spend more than an hour or two really looking at anything. In all fairness, the Hallmark bldg was already closed. more

Crown Center had all the hype so we went to check it out. It's a mall. Fritz's was very cute for kids with its train delivering the food and the dancing fountains outside were fun to sit and watch all the kids playing in the water, but otherwise it was just a mall. I guess since we're not shoppers nor... more

Crown Center has a lot of variety. Lots of shopping, restaurants, and things for the kids. They have various activities throughout the summer, including various musicians (which is free). If you come during the Christmas center you can see the large and beautiful Mayor's Christmas Tree, the outdoor playland for kids, enjoy ice skating and the beautiful fountains. (Yes, they... more

I went to the Crown Center not having any idea what I was going to. I am from a town with malls and I thought that is what I am going to see. I was pleasantly surprised. First Crown Center is located just outside the door of the Hallmark Cards headquarters. Okay guys I know what your thinking, a chick... more

I recently moved here from Atlanta and LOVE the Crown Center. It has a children's theatre, crayola store, free imagination area where kids can pretend to be a barber or even the president of the U.S. The Kaleidoscope Musuem was also great and FREE!!!! It had arts and crafts for the kids where they could create their own Hallmark cards.... more

We had a wonderful time at Crown Center! It is a multi-level shopping area but not set up like a typical mall. It is all connected but in several buildings so it's unique and not overwhelming or loud like a typical mall. We really enjoyed their outdoor iceskating, going to their train store, going to Kaleidoscope Art and Craft area,... more

I don't really understand the previous review...I thought the Crown Center was pretty neat. It's not like a big luxurious mall, but it does have 3 small levels of some unique shops. There is a Crayola Store, a Cat Boutique, a Dog Store, a few Candy Shops including one where you can see them making the candy and fudge, just... more

I don't get it. I visited the famous Crown Center for the first time after having come from the new Bloch Building at the Nelson-Atkins museum. Talk about two contrasting environments.... Maybe that was my trouble. I walked past one outdated, tired, stale shop after another. Nothing in the Crown Center environment engaged me, drew me in, or inspired me... more

What a neat place to spend a few days. They've got two outstanding hotels, a shopping center, theatres and a bunch of free events. Just about everything is connected by a glass walkway. Ice skating in the winter. Tons of stuff for families. And the complex is central to other attractions in town. more

This was mine and my husbands first ever visit to Kansas City Missouri. We were only there for 3 days but my favorite place to visit was Crown Center. Infact we went 4 times in 3 days. They have a restaurant there called Fritz`s. It is so cool. Its a train station. A little train brings your food to the... more
