We visited Loose Park and Rose Garden with family and friends. The day was a perfect park day. James, a little, two-year-old son of our friends spent the entire time playing on the playground, kicking and chasing his ball, and playing catch with his Dad and our son-in-law. The grounds were beautiful. Although most of the roses had already bloomed... More

Perfect place for our family pictures. We have also brought our dog here. Kids enjoy the park as well. Very scenic.

After exploring art at the Nelson and shops on the Plaza, we headed over to this park donated to the city in memory of Jacob Leander Loose by his wife Ella. Mr. Loose helped build the Loose-Wiles Biscuit Company, makers of cookies, soda crackers, and cereals. Later, they would change thier company name to Sunshine Biscuit where famous products such... Located next to the Country Club plaza in a historic neighborhood, great place to walk, run or pass time. Incredible old oaks and hardwoods. Great for alone, friends or family.

My strongest memory of Loose Park is losing my first tooth in the park as a child. We always came to KC to visit family and the bazillion hour car trip from D.C. was always worth it once we saw the fountains and hit Loose Park. Now, as an adult living here I adore watching the seasons change in the... More

The walking trail at Loose Park is well-used and beautifully maintained. There is a lovely pond, and an outstanding rose garden, along with a large playground area with updated equipment for children. We had a great family picnic and then strolled through the rose garden and then down to the pond to see the ducks. A lovely place to visit

Urban parks are a great place to get away from the sounds and stress of the city and they can often provide just the right amount of solace to help you forget the worries of the day. Such is the case with Loose Park, a park located close to Country Club Plaza and the Intercontinental Hotel in Kansas City I... More

Loose park has a lot of Civil War history around it and the grounds are lovely -- particularly the Rose Gardens. The pond and ducks and Plaza environment are a nice backdrop. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES in your car! I left my purse locked in the care under a mat, and it was stolen. The thieves were so courteous as... More

This is by far the best park in Kansas City, and maybe the best park for hundreds of miles. It is hard to describe this park, because it just gives you a feeling. When I'm walking around this park I feel so relaxed and forget about everything. There is so much beauty to take in. There is the rose garden,... More
