There are the typical Gap, J Crew, etc.. shops and multiple restaurants here but the open air plaza setting is nice and unique. Traffic is a bit challenging on weekends. There is more than one nice trail and park within a 1/2 mile of the Plaza making a stay nearby desirable outside of the shopping and dining.

I was not looking to shop when I was in Kansas City, but we ended up at the Country Club Plaza for some Jack Stack BBQ. I know that it is one of KC's landmarks, and I immediately understood why. It seemed as though we were transported to Europe - Seville, Spain, to be exact, as the architecture was purposely... More

If you get a chance to come at Thanksgiving, make it a point to get down to watch the lighting ceremony. Christmas is magical on the Plaza!

What once may have been uniquely Kansas City has been replaced by stores one finds in every city and eateries that reflect virtually all of the world except Missouri.

This used to be a wonderful Kansas City outdoor venue. Now there are virtually no local stores there, just the same national chains you would find in California, New York, Florida..the Spanish architecture is still great, but it is not longer local or unique.

The Plaza is a nice area with many of the same stores found in malls across the US. Walking outside around the area is nice looking at the water fountains and a local park. Usual chain of restaurants and some local gems.

We enjoyed staying near the area and walked it often. It's a day or afternoon trip. After that, you need to go out and explore more within KC

Christmas lights are amazing. We like to take our convertible through the Plaza. It is easier now that they have some stop signs. Cheesecake Factory is a must.

This is like Norman Rockwell shopping - a beautiful outdoor shopping plaza. Great shops, picturesque...alas, it has terrible parking. But the visit is worth the parking struggles!
