We booked 2 nights by phone and I feel that pertinent information was not given to me when I reserved the two campsites. I was not told that the water wasn't turned on and that the shower houses were not open yet, so after we got there, we had to go back out to walmart and buy jugs of water... More

We rented a yurt for two nights. It was really great! It came with an air conditioner, heater, lights, refrigerator and microwave. I also like that it had a locking door. Outside was a charcoal grill and fire ring. I took the yurt with a lake view but due to trees really couldn't see the lake. That yurt is also... More

nice big family beach on the lake. Nice shower houses and bathrooms. We've had many family picnics there. Nice playgrounds. Good store where you can rent boats.

The beach was created by bringing in rocky sand. It hurts your feet to walk on it. The beach area is a good size and there are trees nearby to provide shade for those not playing in the water. It would be nice to have some picnic tables there as well. There is a bath house with showers and changing... More

Took the cave tour at the state park with two young children, who were excited to carry their own light on the tour. The tour is one-half mile round trip but is easily walked. The cave contains rare cave formations that can only be seen in two or three other caves in the U.S. I would highly recommend the tour.

There are 4 loops in this campground. We originally booked a spot in loop one.. Based on the site/bathroom ratio. Photos of our site were deceiving and our TT barely fit. The rangers helped us figure out what sites would be open and we drove around to find a better spot. Loop 2 was a straight road with wooded sites,... More

Love these cabins so much this was the second time in a year going there and we are already planning a summer trip with the girls at work. Rustic cabins with no running water and the ameneties that go with that, but electric, a/c, ceiling fan, and wood burning stove make it great for summer or winter. LOVE IT! Our... More

We stayed at this campground over Memorial Day Weekend in section 1. Although this section is the farthest from the beach, each site has more room and distance between the next campsite. There were also electric hook ups and pull throughs. Each section has a playground, shower house, and garbage bins. There are two dump stations within the park to... More

We took a scenic drive through Lake of the Ozarks State Park. There are lots of hiking trails of varying lengths throughout the park. There are docks to fish from which had 10 or so people using it when we were there as well as boat ramps and campgrounds. It is a large park with lots of trees and shade.

My sister and I have been to the park two years in a row! The cabins are comfortable, rustic and so cute! Wood stoves in them if needed, a cute little kitchen prep area and the loft beds were comfy. No AC, running water or electric but sometimes its nice to just go easy. Don't recommend if it's really hot,... More
